This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The RPGPundit's Own Forum Rules
This part of the site is controlled by the RPGPundit. This is where he discusses topics that he finds interesting. You may post here, but understand that there are limits. The RPGPundit can shut down any thread, topic of discussion, or user in a thread at his pleasure. This part of the site is essentially his house, so keep that in mind. Note that this is the only part of the site where political discussion is permitted, but is regulated by the RPGPundit.

The Day Blue Rose Swine Sucked It Hard

It happened, technically, last night.  The exact moment, I can't say but when I checked the boards at about 3:00am Uruguay time, the balance of power and the destiny of a company had shifted forever, by two posts already.

Today, we're up to ten. As of when I'm writing, The True20 boards currently have 2482 posts, whereas the Blue Rose boards have 2472.

Yes, True20 is now officially more popular than Blue Rose.

Except, technically, it was from the very start.  Blue Rose's boards had something like a six month head start on True20's, and it took us almost exactly six months to get us here. When you factor that in, it means that from the very moment I convinced Green Ronin to put them up, the True20 boards were more popular than Blue Rose.

And that way way back in April, when there was no True20 PDF, and when Green Ronin's official position was that "true20" was just their system for Blue Rose and there was NO plan to make a seperate RPG out of it.

When you think about this stunning turnaround, it really is hard to see how Green Ronin can get out of this without giving me a dedication in the True20 printed book, or hell, at the very least a free copy.

I was the one, after all, who lobbied for the creations of independent True20 boards, to get the real fans of the system away from the seething mass of pustulent Swinedom that was the Blue Rose boards, filled with rampant fanboyism and supporters of nanny-state mentality, and blind support for the fucking Magic Deer and all the evil it represents.

I was also the one who ceaselessly lobbied for the production of a seperate True20 game. Who pushed and insisted and tried to show the rather blind-sided Green Ronin employees how the REAL demand wasn't for their utopian fairyland of nonsensical socialist idiocy, but for the brilliant system they had so unfairly stuck to that pathetic setting.

It was only when I cajoled, and eventually suggested that if they didn't do it some other company would, that they turned around and rushed out a True20 PDF.

So, Mr.Pramas and co., you guys owe me a book at the very least.

Oh, and as for all the Swine in the Blue Rose fora, especially those who claimed that True20 was a system that would ONLY work for Blue Rose, or that the True20 boards were only put into existence to keep me away from the "real" boards, I have this to say:

Suck my throbbing english-canadian cock.

Suck it.

Alazne you sorry fuck, suck it.

BlueCoatedHighwayman, suck it hard.

TheDedine, suck it till you choke.

Victory is mine!

Something more timely is needed, like Pramas' taking up a day job and putting GR back to part-time status.

Does this mean that Pundit is sucking the cock of RPGnet and ENWorld, because they both have vastly more traffic than here?

(And of course, both of them are sucking the cock of the World of Warcraft boards.)

Well, when I get my hands on my True 20 copy of Legends of Excalibur, I can see to it you get a free copy of THAT at least.

In return for a review of course. Ahem.

No; it does mean, however, that True20 is a more successful and popular game than Blue Rose ever was.

You're missing the point about the cocksucking, though.

Since being more popular means getting your cock sucked by the less popular, I can clearly see World of Warcraft's cock in your mouth as you suck it hard.

If you don't like that image, maybe you should reconsider using it so freely.

Uhm.. perhaps you aren't familiar with the past history of this post.

The Blue Rose forum Swine (along with certain members of the Green Ronin staff) were on record as claiming that the True20 rules were only usable in the context of the Blue Rose setting, that Blue Rose was bound to be a success and that there was no good justifiable reason for making a seperate True20 rulebook.

I mean sure, if I went around claiming that theRPGsite was superior in every way to the World Of Warcraft forums, and that visiting the RPGsite was a more popular pass-time than playing WoW, in light of the evidence I would most certainly have to "suck it".

The way the Blue Rose swine have to suck it now.

Quote from: RedFoxI don't see the point of True20.
Have you played it, or even read it??
'Cause when you do it the point gets clear quite fast.

Haven't played it.  Didn't see the point.  Read Blue Rose though.

It seems like a stripped-down D20 toolkit to me.  More trouble than it's worth to make it useful.

The same argument could be made for d20.  More trouble than it's worth to make it useful.

That isn't just an argument; it's a metafuckingphysical truth.
