It was the weirdest thing. NPR always wave their partisan flag from the skies and shout it across the hills. If a Democrat is being questioned, it's softball question after softball question, they're given all the time in the world to respond, and they're allowed to control the flow of conversation. The tone is friendly and even enthusiastic. If it's a Republican, everything goes dark. The tone is nasty, statements are short and abrupt, and the interviewee is cut off constantly in mid-sentence and mid-thought. The conversation is always forced to what the interviewer wants to talk about, and they demand answers to questions that assume the person being interviewed is guilty, guilty, guilty.

Today, the Republican interview style was out in full force -- but they were talking to someone from the Biden administration. NPR finally crossed their partisan line, and they did it over Afghanistan. We're a partnership, it's Trump's fault because we would put soldiers at risk if we didn't hold to his May 1st deadline, the Afghans have 600,000 troops and our 2,500 didn't matter... the NPR interviewer was having none of it.
