Shh little one. The story will begin soon.

I bet dead people are easier to get along with.

What was that? A whisper? A shadow? A thief in the night come to steal your life? Behold the rise of Vivexa Kossiss, and quake at her rage!
When people like to argue, I just remember what Crona said:

The earth quakes as she strolls the planes of reality. The air shimmers with antici...pation at her words. The skys will tremble and fall this day, the day Astraea Hazelwood sets aside her ancient tomes to interact with this realm!
When people like to argue, I just remember what Crona said:

The Noble Falchion Brachebach...
The Mighty Darrak Falkrun...
The Mysterious Scarecrow...
The Primeval Mithanos Yvandari...
The Peerless Vivexa Kossiss...
The Esoteric Astraea Hazelwood...

The cast is set. The world awaits. And your story is about to begin...

I do love how we each have titles :D

Sano Arcanos

You find yourself in the city of Port Sarvin, the capital of the Republic of Verbena, a large, primarily human nation in the south of Yusia. You are in the library of a wealthy nobleman of the nation, a Lord Diaza Holbarn, Dane of Catherbar and Lord Chancellor to President Cestus Dalga, leader of the Verbena Republic.

"Bring me the heart of the Elundari, adventurers, and you will be richly rewarded," begins the nobleman in front of your party. The ornate tapestries and rich, dark-wood paneling of the library in which you stand makes quite obvious the nobleman's affluence and influence.

Lord Diaza sat quietly in his chair, swirling a dark colored liquid in a crystal chalice, ocassionally sniffing it with a sound of approval.

"The Elundari, adventurers, is a tribe of... beast-men who live along the edge of the River Elund, just north of the city. The Elundari have a particularly... shiny stone I would have. Now, I've made quite clear my desire for this rock, and have made many an offer to purchase it from them fair and square. But, all of my offers have been turned down. I'm not telling you to slaughter them all - the males... the females... the descendants... - no... They constantly offer me - me! - an ultimatum. How you go about obtaining the gem is of no concern to me. But, I would greatly appreciate any adventurer who brought the pretty back to me, do you understand?"

Lord Diaza stands and walks to the low burning fireplace. Sighing, he tosses his glass into the fire, causing a loud hiss and musical sound of shattered crystal. "The Heart of the Elundari is kept in their one permanent settlement, the old temple of theirs at the source of the River Elund. They guard it fiercely. I would, of course, recompense any and all expenses involved in obtaining the jewel, as well as a lovely reward for the one - or ones - who bring it back to me."

The nobleman turned back to you. "As skilled as you each are, I feel that... it will be necessary for you to acquire additional aid. Therefore, I have arranged for a particularly... useful addition to your party. He will meet you outside of the city, on the road leading to the north. Gods willing, you'll find him before he finds you. And... do be careful now. Ta ta!"

With your mission in hand, the Lord motions for you to leave the library. A servant stands at the doorway, ready to escort you to the city gates. This is your story.

As for who is present:
Falchion, Darrak, Mithanos, and the character who's name will probably be changed (Vivexa Kossiss) are in the chamber.

The others are not.

From this point on, I will post all story information in "spoiler" blocks, as seen below:

This is how the story will be written out. All info will be put in these boxes.

Your responses and rolls should also be in spoiler boxes, to separate them from out of game questions and responses. To put a spoiler box in your post, just click the last button on the bottom row of the message box you type in, or put the tags [SPOILER.][/SPOILER.], minus the .'s at the beginning and end of your response.

Spoiler
Falchion Brachebach, in his constant attempts to observe the customs of the living flesh, slightly lowered his metal head.

"My Lord Diaza, you have nothing to fear as long as you have one of my unique gifts on this task." Falchion's words slightly echoed in his chest as he spoke; his mouth creaked as it opened, and snapped a bit as the final word was said. He would have to see about oiling that later. He saw no real fault in it, but sometime living beings found the creaks and groans he developed annoying. It would not do to have them refuse to listen, should he get lost, or need to hire a smith for repairs.

The metal giant moved away from the others, politely nodding at the servant as he waited to be escorted out of the library.

These colored words are my thoughts
These are my actions
These are words I say outloud
Spoiler
"As long as I am allowed to excercise my own discretion... I'll be happy to collect your playpretty!" I say with a giddy grin. The chance of having a reason to show off my arcane mastery was a huge plus to the mystery. Hopefully, I used the word discretion right. Last time I said it, a woman slapped me. Or was that desicration? Wait... Which word meant what? As long as I get to excercise my on... Desicration? Dissection? Desecration? Descrition? Excretion? Did it really begin with a d anyway? Why do words have to be so confusing! I remember being a kid... Saying the same five words over and over, and everyone understanding... They thought it was cute. Aw... He doesn't know what he's saying... I'm sure he meant hug! Aww... That's adorable. Or was it the other word... Horrible? Same thing, really... But hat about the badgers? They never found the little ones... Wait... What badger? Who? What? Who's in my head?!?!?!

"Get out of my head whoever you are! There's not enough room in there for the both of us!" Wait... Did I say that out loud? Uh oh... They'll think I'm crazy now... Better say something that isn't crazy... Ah... Uh... Got it! "Is what a crazy person would say. But I'm not crazy. So... Ah... Yes, my Lord Diaza. I'll happily retrieve your shiny." Smooth as lamp oil...

Oh... Is that the lady that's gonna take us to the door? She looks nice... I wonder if she's alive? Alive? Olive? No... That's not right... What's that word! Argh! "Artichoke! No! Available, that's it! Available!"

Shit... Did it again, didn't I? Well...Shit

Sano Arcanos

... oh this is going to be fun... let's see you talk your way out of this one, Sky.
Spoiler
Lord Diaza curiously eyed the strange child mumbling to himself about vegetables, badgers, and various other oddities. After the sudden exclaimation of "Artichoke! No! Available, that's it! Available!", he decided to step in. "Are... are you okay there, son?"
Perhaps he should have chosen his employees a little more mature... and sane. "How old are you, exactly? And, forgive my asking, but who was your teacher again? Come to think of it... I can't even remember why I hired you... Normally, I tend to shy away from groups with children in them."

Did he just call me a kid! That arrogant... Play it cool, Mith... Play it cool... This is a big job with a big payout... And he's pretty high up. This is just what you need. This is your big break... Soon everyone will know the name Mithanos Yvandari! Yeah! Alright... Gotta be cool about this... How to convince him I'm amazing?

"Well, sir, I'm just a little nervous being around such an important person. And, it's true I'm only a kid compared to te rest of these guys... But I'm just as strong and super useful, to! I'm ah... Like a mechanic to my squeaky friend over there! Yeah! And, I can cook a mean meal. And, if I have to, I can call down hellish terrors on my enmities heads 'cause I'm so awesome. Besides, we're a package deal! I always go where these guys go..." Smooth... And not a lie so far, either.

Just in case, I'm going to make a diplomacy roll to convince him that I'm reliable. I have a diplomacy of 10, so here's my roll:url=http://rolz.org/info?2778692][/url]

Just barely, mien freund. Just barely.

"... riiiight..." Lord Diaza said with a skeptical drawl. "Anyway... what say the rest of you? Do you think you can handle your... associate? He's not going to jeopardize your assignment, is he?"

Spoiler
Darrak just grunts unhappily, thinking about the wasted alchohol, before nodding at Lord Diaza. "We'll handle the tyke, as he'll handle the mission. Your bauble will comfortably rest in your hands soon enough."
Fingering his chain mail, the dwarf looks over his companions. "We should probably go and meet our mysterious addition. I like to know who not to kill before we get to the point of having to kill."

Spoiler
"If he becomes a liability, we shall relieve him of his uselessness." The giant did not turn around, but cocked his head sideways so Mith could see the left of his two soulless eyes. His next words were spoken much softer, only those closest (meaning Mith and the maid) heard it in the Common tongue. The rest of the room only heard the squeak and snap of his metallic jaws. "If you touch me I will relieve your body of the burden of supporting your head."

Facing the servant again, "When were ready to get going, I would be very thrilled. I am not getting any younger and the good lord here seems anxious to get his item. Should we not hasten away to obtain it?"
