SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Ok, this one is convoluted as hell.

A man walks into his home, turns on the lights, then kills himself.  How and Why?

Cyberzombie

Did he intend to kill himself?

Not when he entered the house.

Technicolor Dreamcoat

to get the obvious out of the way:

Was it an accident because there was gas from the oven in the air, and turning on the lights gave off a spark?
Any dream will do

Cyberzombie

Did he kill himself because of something he saw in the house when he turned on the lights?

No fantasy creatures at all involved.

Thjalfi

you know what? no...
bad questions.

here's my real question:

was this man married?
was his wife at home?
was there more than one person in the room?

Name Lips

Was there a corpse in the house (before he killed himself)?
Next phase, new wave, dance craze, anyways, it's still rock and roll to me.

You can talk all you want about theory, craft, or whatever. But in the end, it's still just new ways of looking at people playing make-believe and having a good time with their friends. Intellectualize or analyze all you want, but we've been playing the same game since we were 2 years old. We just have shinier books, spend more money, and use bigger words now.
