Which ones are you looking to play?
Currently I am drooling over Vanguard and Auto Assualt is looking very nice.
  1. A robot may not harm a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
   2. A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
   3. A robot must protect its own existence, as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I actualy just started WoW so for the foreseeable future that is my choice.

Vanguard. Luck smiled on me in getting into the pool that the current beta is being drawn from, but that doesn't mean I'll get any further.

If I do, I'm sure I'll be making lots of suggestions and comments that will be completely ignored.

I sort of want to try FFXI (which has nothing to do with the fact that I could play the new corsair class as a catgirl. Really.), but I don't want to have to drop the money on the game without trying it out first.

Reefer Madness

Freinds of mine did the unthninkable and went back to eq1...I was looking forward to dnd online but not many people are happy with it, it seems...wow is meh because all the raid content their putting in....

We are waiting to see if We are accepted into Vanguard beta. But currently We still enjoy World of Warcraft.

I'd need to be cloned in order to fit any other MMO's in besides WoW.

I've just started playing DDO. Compared to WoW it's kind of a "MMO Lite." Lots of itty-bitty instances, and a city to get quests and sell items. I'm liking it so far. Easier to fit into a busy life.
Next phase, new wave, dance craze, anyways, it's still rock and roll to me.

You can talk all you want about theory, craft, or whatever. But in the end, it's still just new ways of looking at people playing make-believe and having a good time with their friends. Intellectualize or analyze all you want, but we've been playing the same game since we were 2 years old. We just have shinier books, spend more money, and use bigger words now.

WoW and Guild Wars for the time being.

Vanguard sounds interesting as does Tabula Rasa and Huxley.  With the expansions for WoW and GW coming out I'm not sure that I'd switch at the moment.

The more I'm playing DDO the more I'm enjoying it and the more I want to play it.  I haven't got too far into the game yet I just keep rolling characters and trying different combinations.  There is a huge novelty in being able to try so many different D&D starting characters, that you'd probably never do in the PnP game and just try them out.  Now I'm down to my two favorites my PnP favorite of a Human Rogue/Fighter (heavy on the Rogue) and a nice Warforged Fighter aka tank.  Just standing there with my shield bashing in kobold skulls a lot of fun.

Guild Wars is one that I don't play often anymore - but since there is no monthly I feel no guilt.  I'll probably pick up the factions expansion in April and get in some new fresh play. Not like it's a huge $$$ expense to pick it up and give it a try.

As for Auto Assualt I was looking forward to it until I got in the beta and got to play it.  It's quite possibly the most boaring MMO I've ever played.  It's just dull and ugggh.  If it was using the same pricing structure as Guild Wars I could see a point to it.  But since it's a full blown montly $$$ MMO it's bad.

Reefer Madness

im not looking forward to anything, been looking at different stuff and they dont have what I want...if I won a big lotto, i would make my own damn game....

I dont want a game that even mentions the word "Raid" because raid = the high end content, so when I get max level all I have is raiding, hell not evenhitting max level im forced to raid.....

and I really hate games that that make high end content for the top 5% of people and ignoring time put in....I am against anything that deals with raids or guilds.....which means im shit out of luck....

We will have to wait and see if Vanguard follows through but they are claiming only about 20% of the endgame will be raid, the rest will be group and solo.  Hard to say.

I'm really hoping that this is the case. I may have enjoyed the high-end raid content of EQ, but it got pretty repetative after a while. there's only so many Complete Heal chains you can run before you just want to scream and tear your eyes out...

As MT I always hated CH chains...cause in alot of cases it took 2-3 times to get it, what I hated was aggro building because I never got my epic (all I was missing was the statue from air) and tons of other people did and well alot of them were aggro magnets....damn rangers....

I hated alot of the raids because it was pretty much manditory, set time and so on, and being a mid level guild only every other one would go off because key people wouldnt show up...needing 4 clerics only 2 show up, no shaman and so on.....and I could not handle high level guild setups even though I attended a few....and the #1 thing I hated about raids was the spawning, racing and all that jazz....

I was reading about vanguard and was worried because they mentoned risk vs reward, which usually means the high end stuff will be cut off (im 65 and dont raid im stuck in level 45 zones because anything higher will eat me because im not geared for it...)

I'm on the autoassault beta, and my advice so far is: "Pass"

It's OK, I guess, but even though I'm a car wars fan, it just really fell flat to me.
I am becoming more and more hollow, and am not sure how much of the man I was remains.

I enjoyed it but not something I would pay $15 per month to play.
