Already getting bored of CoH and CoV after picking them up in November/December of last year, no longer playing them every night. Highest level character is 28 and it's becoming a real grind to level already, hard to find players online at the time I play, and soloing is pointless.

Just got Civ IV so I'm finding it hard to justify the £8.99 each month for a game I'm not playing regularly. Saw D&D Online at £20 so I might pick that up but after playing Guildwars I can't see why a monthly is worth it.

America's Army.  Great for its price, and as its the first MMO (I think it classifies as a MMO, right?) I've ever played, I'm hooked.

I imagine it only classes as Multipleplayer not Massively Multi. Unless it significantly different from other FPSers.

The the new expansion set is coming out for FF XI on the 18th (i'm getting it on the 19th).

New jobs- Corsair, Puppetmaster, and Blue Mage.

Also, new areas, including the Far East (or so I'm told).

They're implementing a new storage system in the new area (they're called Mog Lockers) which you can rent for in-game money.

Also, there's a new NPC type- the appraiser.  Some items will be unidentified until you take to an appraiser and find out what it is.

Rumour has it that S-E might be adding the ability to raise a chocobo this summer.  I know it's something that players have wanted since the beginning.  Normally, you can only rent them, but being able to own your own chocobo would be very cool.

Anyone try out RF Online yet?  It's gotten some decent reviews (at least on EBGames.com, which isn't always a good barometer on a game), but I'd like to hear what fellow nutkins have to say about it (if anything).

City of Heroes/Villains is plenty for me.  I've been trying to get my robots/forcefield Mastermind up to 32 to get the last set of enhancements for my pets.

I downloaded Rubies of Eventide last night.  For an old game with an archaic system, it's pretty enjoyable.  I also downloaded GunZ last night, but I couldn't get it to update, so I don't know if I'll get to try that one out or not.

I tried another "free" MMORPG last night.  I downloaded MU Online.  Not much good to say here.  It's Diablo with all the fun stripped out of it.

I'm thinking about downloading the free version of Anarchy Online.  I played it back at launch years ago, so I'm hoping that it's grown into a better game.  I liked it back then, but it needed work to make it truly good.

Don't get your hopes up. I downloaded it and played it for about 10 hours total, hoping it would get good. It didn't.
Next phase, new wave, dance craze, anyways, it's still rock and roll to me.

You can talk all you want about theory, craft, or whatever. But in the end, it's still just new ways of looking at people playing make-believe and having a good time with their friends. Intellectualize or analyze all you want, but we've been playing the same game since we were 2 years old. We just have shinier books, spend more money, and use bigger words now.

Believe me, I'm not.  I'm just itching for some sci-fi online gaming.  I'm a little burned out on all the fantasy stuff, so even a bit sub par sci-fi game would keep me entertained for a while.

Planetside was fun for about a week, then it got really repetative.

I started a character on AO last night.  This game has gone through a LOT of change since I last played it back in '02.  While the server stability is a little lacking and the interface is clunky, I'm enjoying it so far.  I'm going to give it a couple months before deciding if I want to buy the expansions and start paying a monthly fee for it.

I only play FFXI.  I've seen WoW and I like the feel of the Final Fantasy universe just that much better.  I once, a long time ago, played EQ1.  Also known as Evercrack.  I stopped playing when I realized that passing university was slightly more important to me.

Right now RAGNAROK ONLINE rules my world...
2D sprites on a 3D enviroment, the game is made by NCSOFT an asian based company, so it's really ANIME influenced... eventhought being korean... xD

the game offers lots of jobs, from Crusader to Alchemist, Assassin to Bard; and the every job evolves, i'll explain with the crusader job path. You begin as a novice, then you change to Swordman, later to Crusader, once you become a lvl 99 Crusader you can "Reborn" as a novice high, then again onto swordman high and finally into the mighty Paladin...
Diversity is the law, each player can customize their stats and skills completely.

also, huge amounts of maps, enemies and NPC's... really... a great MMORPG.

Original Server is a pay-per-play, but thousands of FREE SERVERS are on the net to find...

very enjoyable and fun to play. xD
