SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Here have fun with this insanity.

What is it?

I mean why is it WTFy? I'm on my phone and not terribly interested in poking around the site.

I love this game! Seriously, it gives you so much freedom of gameplay, it's great. I wish I could get in on another game soon now that its out of beta (finally)

My teeth wiggle. Need more information, like genre conceits, mechanic, and other 'wow' stuff.
I play these games to be entertained... I don't want to see games about rape, sodomy and drug addiction... I can get all that at home.

That is perhaps the least information I have ever seen on a website that didn't have a countdown associated with it.

From the site.  This is about as indepth about the game as they get.
QuoteWhat is The Future Belongs To Us?

The Future Belongs to Us is a role-playing game (RPG) in which one or more players control the actions of characters in a story and perform simple improvisational acting. Players use the books and accessories available on this website to make characters, define their abilities, and handle conflict resolution. The game takes place in the year 2048, resembling the world we live in today save for the societal and technological changes brought on by world events. What happens in the story is entirely up to you and your fellow players as you take actions that have the potential to shape the future to come.

Now for the WTF stuffs.
QuoteFrequently Asked Questions

In this section of the website we will answer Frequently Asked Questions that we receive from our emails, especially from players with a high rating in Culture (Freedom Underground). This area of the site will be updated regularly as we receive more questions that people have about the game.
That underlined part.  That refers to the culture you get by:
1)   (Starting in May, 2013) Tell us about the game you are playing in.
2)   Run The Future Belongs To Us at a convention.
3)   Purchase or preorder certain books or accessories off of this website.

They even have a goddammed leader board for it.

It has that retro geocities look to it

Hmmm, going by the cover, I guess in the future prostitution will be legalized?

AteTheHeckUp

The nice lady's breasts are warning you that the future belongs to them.  So don't try claiming any of it for yourself.

The Ent

Nice looking chick on the cover, anyway.

I have played this game during the many stages of its beta.

I think that Table Top RPG players new and veteran will be excited when they get there hands on this one.

Story has a fresh twist on the scifi genre.  The dice system is by far the fastest you will learn.  No more wondering what dice you should be rolling, when.

Plus you can truely make any kind of character you want, without some goofy class restriction.

TristramEvans

wow, lots of posters with only one post come to tell us about how AWESOME this game is. That doesn't send up warning signs AT ALL.

"Goofy Class Restrictions" screams: The designer only played one game and decided to make a heart breaker.

Maybe the guy who put it together can show up and actually share some of this stuff.

On the basis of these strong recommendations from such long-time, trusted posters, I'm going to buy everything published for this game ever.

Sorry, I have better things to do with my life than post on gaming forums all the time. I just thought I would come out of lurking because I really liked the game I played and I'm somewhat surprised that its actually coming out. I might even start a group up, but I prefer not to run and I don't have $50 to spare right now...
