This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Are Sites Like therpgsite, RPGnet, and ENWorld Beneficial To The RPG Industry?

I'm not disagreeing with you that the majority don't go online but that doesn't imply no effect and anyone who says so without hard data to back it up is not only flying against logic across industries but their own activities.

Why does WotC have a D&D forum if the majority of games won't use and therefore it does not influence the industry. Why does WW link to their offical forums. Why do companies purchase ads on the various forum sites. Why do they supply review copies to some sites?

Considering that sites like rpg.net and enworld are actively promoting the idea that gamers are bad people with the exception of themselves who want nothing more than "clean up the hobby", I'd say no, they are not beneficial.
