This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Dark Albion acquired!

I scored a very gently used copy of Dark Albion off a local store's used bookshelf recently - the alternate cover in hardback. I'm finally getting a chance to dig into it and damn, but it's good. That's a comprehensive setting / sourcebook.

I was chatting it via text with a friend just now, and it looks like I'm updating next Sunday's session to Dark Albion (via Alephtar's Revolution d100 and Merrie England). I'm thinking 1454 in the Yorkshire moors ... the Player's character is a ranger / yeomany sort.

Great work on the book, Pundit. I have a copy of Cults of Chaos en route via Amazon now as well.

Yeah, it's a great sourcebook. Chok full of great game-able material and so much cool art. I loaned it to my friend who is running Lamentations of the Flame Princess and he loves it too.

Thank you. I'm very glad you liked it.  Let me know what you think of Cults of Chaos too, though I'm betting you won't be disappointed.

Amazon informs me that the chaos has left their building and is now en route. I did get the pdf of both Dark Albion and Cults of Chaos last night as well, so feel safe I won't be disappointed either. I'm going to generate a cult ... or two ... for Sunday when the print arrives.

Very nice map pack with the DA PDF.

Yeah, there sure is!  The maps are all Dominique's work, and they're all spectacular.

I was showing off some of the map prints to one of my players the other night over some beers. The hex maps were impressive; the regional players map got a pleasant reaction out of him. The Guinness may have contributed - tough to say.

I think it would be hard not to be impressed by those maps.

Indeed, and the players were fairly impressed with them. The game last Sunday went quite well, with another session scheduled for about a week out. I'm switching over to using FH&W, primarily since it's a written-to element of DA. Everyone really enjoyed the setting.
