Yeah the more I find out the more I'm utterly convinced that wizards are distinctly underpowered. It's fine because I get the feeling the pure magic asskicker types are sorcerers and warlocks. Wizards are better off being less direct anyway.

Warlocks look really cool. And I'm digging a lot of the feats. Here's hoping they stay in the final book.

Well, nothing short of reprinting 4e and offering a public apology for ever getting away from it, as well as cleaning WoTC designers out and replacing them with 4e fanbois would make that group happy

I recall reading somewhere - probably in an L&L column - that they haven't blackballed psionics, but that it's a very low priority. I doubt that it will be in any of the three core books.

Given the pride of place Psionics have in Eberron and especially in Dark Sun I would expect one sometime in the next year or so.

I know old habits die hard, but i think it's been mentioned quite a few times now that the only core of the game is the Basic document when it is complete. The PHB, MM & DMG are all supplemental material should you want it. Adventures are going to presume that the Basic document is the core.

This might be the best decision they've made so far. It provides a 'safe space' for people who are overwhelmed and turned off by the tendency of D&D to, as OG says, climb up its own ass.

Yup. So all the Panicky Petes should remember that nothing in the PHB that isn't in the Core PDF is actually "Core".
