This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I want to thank every one of you for your support as we bring the T5 CD ROM to publication. Your confidence in this project is extremely gratifying. Thank you.

Of course, T5 is facing some delays. Every fix and edit we make seems to ripple through the entire text. Even at this late stage, new ideas seem to generate themselves. We're now looking at March 1 (and thank goodness for that extra day in February this year!).

*** If this delay is unacceptable, tell me and I can refund your payment.

*** If your order included something else and you didn't get it (you should have), tell me and we'll check out what went wrong.

Thanks,
Marc

What?

I got my pack of bonus stuff today.  Let's just say I'm not shocked by the delay.  I'll probably die of a heart attack on the day the CD turns up in my mail box.

Honestly, I never expected it to be on time.

This really can be considered "on track" for T5.  It's sad when a small delay is almost good news. :p

However, you should be able to graduate from university, get married (again?), have children, and pay off your mortgage, all before T5 makes it to a final print copy. :)

The idea that T5 ever had a track is itself suspect.

On the other hand, my goal of having Galaxies in Shadow done before T5 comes out is looking realistic again.  I'm even working on it.  :)

Although, if Mongoose wants to stall for a few months to re-tool, I certainly wouldn't hold it against them.

I believe releasing a beta version for sale is part of the Mongoose business strategy, is it not?  ;)
Now Prepping: One-shot adventures for Coriolis, RuneQuest (classic), Numenera, 7th Sea 2nd edition, and Adventures in Middle-Earth.

Wow, they shoulkd re-do the whole thing. Everything that´s not CT-derivative in the Playtest Documents basically is an Epic Fail.

BTW: Proof positive that the Brits rock:

A whole weekend of Traveller, man. There's only one con to rival that one, and that's the Lake Geneva event with E.Gary et al. which the Troll Lords are organizing.

I know, I know. Would´nt it be for same idiotic "science conference", I´d be there.

Next year, I´ll be there, no matter what comes (wars excluded)!

Message posted by Hunter on CotI today:

QuoteTalked to Marc about T5 today and sorry folks, looks like it's not going to be finished for the 1st of April. Marc is taking the comments of the fans and his playtesters to heart and trying to make the book as complete and stable as possible before releasing it. The book is farther along than it has ever been.

Marc usually tries to send out a monthly email update on the progress, but he's swamped right now trying to get it out and deal with some other stuff so there might not be an email this month.

Bottom line is the expected release date has been pushed back to the end of April. If anyone has preordered and wishes a refund, all you've got to do is drop Marc an email and let him know.
