This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Class act Pooka.
T-Billy always delivers.  Just sayin'.

Luckily I was able to save my most recent post for my 'Adventures in Cormyr - The Bandits Nest' game, so that means that as soon as ENWorld is back on line my group will be able to continue where we left off. :heh:

I also managed to copy everyones character sheets, so the only thing I've lost is the details I post about Eveningstar in the OOC thread
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it. :heh:

Agamon

You rock, Pooka, thanks a whole bunch!!

And don't worry, Shal (and anyone else from Toki's GL pbp), the site should be almost loaded when I get home from work...then the real work begins.  Issue 11 should be good to go ASAP (Issues 9 and 10 I'm not in as much of a hurry for)

It should probably be noted that, in the span of ENworld's life, 5 months isn't THAT huge of a span. Five months from now, this loss will just be part of the ongoing history. Huge numers of threads were lost, but even huger numbers were saved. It's a good thing that backup image was still around. :)
Next phase, new wave, dance craze, anyways, it's still rock and roll to me.

You can talk all you want about theory, craft, or whatever. But in the end, it's still just new ways of looking at people playing make-believe and having a good time with their friends. Intellectualize or analyze all you want, but we've been playing the same game since we were 2 years old. We just have shinier books, spend more money, and use bigger words now.

Hellzon

Alright, not to brag, but I think I got the important stuff from Living Supers. Most notably:
the two game threads (Quake is missing page 9)
the HQ thread (missing a few posts in the end)
the character thread (missing Paladin)
general discussion thread (oddly, page 11 is lost in limbo, but I could get page 12)

And some other sundries, but those are the important ones.

If the LS people are reading, anything else you want rescued? In that case, thread titles makes them a lot easier to find on Google. To be honest, I don't know if I have much time tomorrow, but I'll try.

And kudos to Pooka for saving our forum, and to Agamon for saving one of the coolest PbP:s. :emot-flowers:

More props for Spoony/Pooka! Thanks for saving the boards.

My PbP game has all been recovered from google cache except for a couple of posts.

To all worried about loosing their Story Hours and PbP games, try Googling your threads and looking in the Cache. A lot can be recovered from there.

Wow   that is one very cool suggestion.

Thanks for all the hard work Spoony.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes. Dice on the other hand are quite a different matter entirely.

File upload complete. Now extracting. This final step shouldn't take more than an hour. I'm too tired (up all night working projects) to mess with the reviews section - I'll close it and clean it up sometime tomorrow.

Grimagain

I have saved much of Grand Theft Enquine pbp from the google cache-
but not the rogues gallery -
thanks for the advice folks

Michael,

I just wanted to say that this was a very classy move by you.  My hat is off to you and if I see you at GenCon I'd happily buy you a beverage of your choice.

Thanks.
