SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Uh, I can't post in the Pigpen.

Quick! Call someone a brain-damaged simulationist or create a game that uses one playing card for resolution and explores themes about sharing themes! That should get you clearance. :heh:

Ok, This "Pig pen" and "pundit's Parlor" thing is good fun; but you guys haven't really told me fuck all about it. I look it up and suddenly find I'm a moderator.

What exactly does that mean?

Also, do people have to be members of a group to be able to read the threads there? Is the "Pig Pen" really empty or does it just appear that way because I'm not a member?

1) moderate with care. oh, and it only works in the punditry.
2) pig pen was empty due to technical difficulties. oh, that and the fact that its late sunday night, and all of the SWINE have lives.

Ace of Spades RPG Rules:

1. To play this game, you will need an Ace of Spades.  Whoever has the Ace of Spades is the GM, and whatever rules and ruling the GM makes are correct, unless they come into conflict with the rules written here.

2. The game is set wherever the GM sets it.  The characters are whoever they like, with GM approval.

3. Play proceeds as normal, with the GM describing scenes, players describing actions, blah, blah, you get the idea, buddy.

4. Anytime any player has a problem with the way the game is going, they can demand "a spin".  If a player demands a spin too often, the other players are free to mock and deride them as desired.

5. To make a spin, the current GM places the Ace on the table, face-up, and spin it.  Whoever the point at the top of the 'spade' is pointing at when the card stops spinning is the new GM.

6. To start the game, spin the ace.  Then get playing.

7.  Why are you still reading this?

Shamefacedly, Zachary admitted reading to #7. :gloomy:

Wow! This should provide for intense narration and intense intensity! Did I mention the intenseness?  Themes?  Intensity?!  Copy to pdf at once! :p
