SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

This Site is Unfriendly to Stupid People

Allow me a moment to rant about this site's rampant mistreatment of the stupid and ill-informed. Some of you people are really off the mark here. You take someone's stupid, idiotic and moronic comments and you treat them as though they are dumb and worthy of ridicule. Did you ever ask yourself why? Did you ever take a deep breath and think "this person might be stupid, but maybe they're even more dumb than that?" Where's your compassion for the mentally-challenged?

Stupid people might not be bright but they might be bright enough to know what the word stupid means and get their feelings hurt. What about the feelings? Don't feelings count too?

James McMurray

We're also unfriendly to thin skinned people. But if you really want to draw some ire, be one of those people that disagrees with people.

I feel we should all make a commitment to suffering fools gladly.

What about gladly making fools suffer?

Don't judge our social skills by your neurotypical standards! Expecting others to automatically conform to your NT behavior is, at best, highly insensitive. I'll have you know that a large number of gamers suffer from neurobiological pervasive developmental disorders, and are unable to determine what is socially acceptable. I'm sure tolerating stupid people comes easily to some, but for many gamers posting an appropriate reply on a message board or even taking a bath with soap and hot water can be a very stressful ordeal.
Why are there so many songs about rainbows and what\'s on the other side? Rainbows are visions, but only illusions, and rainbows have nothing to hide.

You molest your what? I'm not sure I'd admit that in public. ;)

SunBoy

You know, I've always found it funny, that "molestar a un niño" is NOT AT ALL like "molesting a child"... :D

Google says that means "to bother a boy." Are they right?

If I were you, I wouldn't tell that joke  in Texas. You're liable to get rednecked upside the head before you get the whole sentence said. :)

Yeah.  "Molestar", in Spanish, literally means "to bother".

Incidentally, so does "Tocarle musica rap a Dr Rotwang!".  It's the very definition of active, willful annoyance.  People cry at the end.

Está bien, la próxima vez que tenga ganas de molestar a alguien no voy a Texas. Voy a pasarle rap al Doctor Rotguango.

Damn you Google, why are you chasing him away from Texas!?
