SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The RPGPundit's Own Forum Rules
This part of the site is controlled by the RPGPundit. This is where he discusses topics that he finds interesting. You may post here, but understand that there are limits. The RPGPundit can shut down any thread, topic of discussion, or user in a thread at his pleasure. This part of the site is essentially his house, so keep that in mind. Note that this is the only part of the site where political discussion is permitted, but is regulated by the RPGPundit.

RPG Countries

Fernoll

So I've had this ongoing project, where I depict various nations as D&D characters, complete with a backstory, class, special abilities and weaknesses.
So far I've done around 50 or so different countries.
I (cautiously) believe that it may be appreciated here more than on other, more mainstream, platforms.
I'll add more characters to this thread perdiodically, and as time permits.

Note that this is a work of satire, so it may not sit well with everyone.

With that being said, and without further ado....

UK - Bard of Rotten Weathers

Formerly known as The Conqueror, he is a prominent member of the Western Guild, noted for his acting and (in the past) musical skills.

Special Ability:
Artistic Lore - Any Perform and Knowledge checks are made with an advantage.
Should either roll result in less than 10, UK can choose to take 10 instead.

Special Weakness:
Barbaric Infatuation - UK must always act in a friendly manner towards any member of the Southern Guild. Furthermore, UK can't attack, or act in a manner that is harmful to members of the Southern Guild even in self defense.

It was indeed my intention to post it here, as my work borders on the political, and it was my understanding that this is the forum for such subjects.
If this is not the case, then my apologies.

blackstone

SO this is like the whole "countries depicted as superheroes" thing.
Ah.

No, it's OK. I just wanted to be sure.

That's pretty funny. Ya got any more?
The worms crawl in and the worms crawl out
The ones that crawl in are lean and thin
The ones that crawl out are fat and stout
Your eyes fall in and your teeth fall out
Your brains come tumbling down your snout
Be merry my friends
Be merry

QuoteThat's pretty funny. Ya got any more?

Quite a few, yes.
As I've said above, I'll post more of them every so often.

Fernoll

France - Champion of the White Flag
Another member of the Western Guild.
Scholars suggest that his current form is divine punishment for its arrogance and pride.
During the Second Great Rampage, he spent most of the conflict under the Black Knight's boot.

Special Ability:
Parkour - Acrobatic checks are made with an advantage.
Furthermore, if used as part of a retreating or escaping manauver, France can choose to reroll if the result is 10 or less.

Special Weakness:
Open Borders - Unable to properly guard its own borders, any checks for sneaking past France's borders are made with an advantage.
Furthermore, a succeful bluff check makes France autimatically friendly to the intruder.

Aglondir

What is the small black creature in both illustrations?

Scooter

There is no saving throw vs. stupidity

Fernoll

USA - The Warrior Diplomat
This one was the second country I ever did, and definitely the one I had the most fun with.

Special Ability:
Armed and Dangerous - Whenever he loses a weapon, either by disarm, sunder or misplacement, USA may use a free action to make a randomly determined weapon to appear in his hand.
May only be used once per turn.

Special weakness:
Too Cool For School - When armed and within at least one mile of a learning facilty, USA must make a will save.
If he fails, he must head toward it and attack targets at random.

Fernoll

Israel - Meat shield of the West
With the current events, might as well.
The opening piece for my countries as characters project.
A fighter with high CON and low ass CHA and bad public relations, battered but not beaten.

Special Ability:
Island of Stability - When starting its turn with at least 3 enemies within its reach, Israel may make an intimidate check.
Success means those enemies cannot attack Israel this turn.
Furthermore, those enemies must make a will save or attack each other instead.

Special Weakness:
Diplomatic Cripple - Wild antics, low charisma and a poor public image forces Israel to make all charisma based skill checks with a disadvantage.

Fernoll

Palestine - The Veiled Zealot
Following up on current events.
A minor member of the Southern Guild, follower of the Faith of the Black Stone, and a fully fledged death cultist.

Special Abilities:
Human Shield - If Palestine begins its turn with at least 1 noncombatant within its reach, it recieve +2 to its Armor Class and Saving Throws.
If the noncombatant is a child, the armor bonus rises to +3. Furthermore, should an attack hit Palestine, the damage is divided equally between it and the nearby noncombatants.

Piteous Cower - Once per turn, after taking damage, Palestine may cower as a free action.
Nearby opponents must make a Will save. If they fail, they cannot attack Palestine during their next turn.

Special Weaknesses:
Economically Inept - Whenever Palestine recieves gold from another character, he must spend at least 90% on weapons, armor and similar equipment.
Only the remaining 10% is allowed to be used to purchase basic items such as food, lodging, medicine etc.

Poor Accuracy - When performing an attack, there is a 30% chance per individual attack that Palestine hits itself instead. This self attack is resolved normally, and should Palestine take damage, it can immediately use its Piteous Cower ability.

Exploderwizard

Why are you listing Palestine as a country? There is, and has never been a country so named. Your drawings and stats are well done and very funny!
