I'm never going to have an effect on anything beyond my own life and that of my kids. I was naive enough to think politics was a route to change once, I've since got wiser. I've been thinking about this and I couldn't live with myself if I hadn't brought my children up to challenge injustice they see. I don't see how giving an example of just keeping your head down is a good thing.

OTOH I try not to judge other peoples parental decisions, frankly managing to keep kids alive and emotionally safe is hard work.
