I've been doing my best to spread this around on what few social media sites I still inhabit. She's pure gold.

This woman is a skilled orator, but, does anyone have any more information about what organization(s) she belongs to or represents? When I hear someone speaking emphatically about "revolution" the first thing that comes to mind is "Marxist" and I notice someone in the background giving the black power salute. Any context for this?

I dont know, I hear that revolution word getting tossed around a lot more and from more directions than in the past.  I do not know who she is, but I am sure republican types will love her.   It is a bit strange they are on such eggshells these days they feel the need for a black person to say what they believe or share a position with them.

As for the fist, well it was explained to me years ago it is not simply a Black Power salute.   It implies struggle, and the willingness to engage in that struggle.   Now, maybe these guys were just shining me on, but one fellow was a member of the Nation of Islam, and he was not one to mince words about what different things meant.  So I believed it.

She's Tricia Lindsey, a civil liberties lawyer.

Looks like. From her website:

QuoteAttorney Lindsay is accustomed to hard work and working for the interest of the people. A former schoolteacher of 24 years in the Yonkers & New York Public School Districts, Ms. Lindsay worked passionately to improve the lives of her students. Always going beyond the call of duty, she worked with under served families in her district to ensure that her students and their families received the adequate social services that they deserved. Ms. Lindsay's experiences in her long career in education fueled her desire to impact education on the national level to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline by changing legislation.

Her twenty-four years as an educator have been in the urban school setting, both in the parochial and public sectors. During her time in the school system, Tricia realized that the educational system did not ensure the success of Latino and African American children; their schools were often underfunded and overcrowded, leading to under-education. This background sparked her desire to assist African American and Latino children by providing educational opportunities that would otherwise not be made available to them. Those experiences gave Ms. Lindsay the first-hand knowledge necessary for accurately identifying the problems and the sources of these problems within our education system, while effectively contributing to the resolution.

In direct line with contributing to the resolution in our education system, for nearly seven years, Tricia served as the Chairperson for the Scribe's Institute Inc., a non-profit organization wholly dedicated to reducing the achievement gap in minority children and disenfranchised peoples through a forthright approach to strengthening literacy skills. Tricia has avid experience as both a teacher and an administrator. The experience in both fields of education made her a productive asset in shaping the culture of learning for minority children.

As a proud graduate of Touro College of Law, Tricia provides voice, advocacy, and legal representation for those who often go unheard. Ms. Lindsay's long-time passion has been centered on community building and ensuring equity and justice in education and improving the lives of inner-city families. When she entered the field of teaching more than twenty years ago, she then believed that the most effective way to bring justice to the masses was through education. Since entering the law field, she now wholeheartedly believes that justice will best be served in the court of law, through due diligence, fair and fierce representation.

Revolution against government doesn't trigger my "marxist" alarm, usually only when I hear a person talking about overthrowing capitalism. And of course I haven't really heard any marxists envoking god. But that might be my own personal sample bias.   She also envokes a lot of ideas from the founding, which I haven't seen marxists do.
