Considering how bad AI is at pattern matching (thanks to being kneecapped due to woke hacks), expect to see all sorts of fun and entertaining workarounds, or ways to point the bot at unsuspecting suckers for the lulz.

You're assuming they will be using the same lobotomized AI, there's no need, it won't do things for you the gamer, except listen and ban you from playing a game you thought you owned.

But that would be hilarious indeed.

At least a personal step towards attempting to fix things, yeah. Do we have any good lists of other AI censorship or company censorship more generally? Kinda like our site list on various TTRPGs? (That's been pretty cool to see exist incidentally. If I had to pick a magnum opus or whatever for this site, that would probably be it.)

No but still very early in the game.  Probably by January there will be enough to make such a list though.

After the Dems steal 2024, I expect online censorship to go berserk. Which is fine with me because I'm increasingly sick of the internet and I need to spend more time reading old books and playing RPGs with nary a digital thing in sight.

In reality, that is not possible.

For example, lets say hypothetically you're playing a game that is using Epic Games Online Services, a free-to-use set of tools for developers that is a one-stop-shop for integration with Steam, Epic Games Store, GoG, and other online platforms. Now, I don't know for certain that this is happening, but it's entirely possible that if a developer is using this toolset that certain elements of your activity (e.g. text, voice chat) could be being screened by an intermediary service like ToxMod (an AI player-surveillance system funded by foreign governments which is being used by Activision in their latest games). You would have no way of knowing whether that is occurring unless the developers disclosed it, and I would assume (barring legal action) that all large online services will soon have built-in censorship of this nature.

So it might be possible to avoid this if the game you're playing is rolling their own backend services, but in reality the lowest-common-denominator approach will be to use a bundled set of functionality. And I am sure that virtually all games (indie or not) will soon have this functionality because it will be integrated into Unity, Unreal, and other tech stacks in a way that will make it difficult to avoid.

Pretty soon the only way to avoid A.I. snitching you out for wrong-think will be not having electronic devices. Depending on which side is in power, there will be a horrible event involving a hate crime or a terror attack, and suddenly we'll need devices to have passive listening for certain words. Just to catch bad guys you understand.

When AI understands that I have friends out back stoking the Mary, the Jane, and the Anna is a drug reference and not a sexual one (assuming it flags it at all) I'll concede that AI understands speech well enough to censor it.

In the meantime, all you're going to do is teach 12 year old child delinquents how to use alternative expression.
