This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I found this one on Deviant art, I'd like to claim it as Lord Whisp'ar.
This is his Chaotic look, though he does know how to dress in formal attire too.

Thanks Pundit, took a while to find this one.

Windows 7 is way better than XP or Vista as my mate just said nearly as good as Ubuntu.

On another topic I was thinging of blowing some of this year's bonus on commissioning an artist do do some decent trump type images of the Amberites. The ones in the rule book are okay for Brand and Benedict but I could get a whole set of the 9 princes for $400.

For that price, that better be one hell of an artist.

umm... well no a hell of an artist would cost $1000 an image .... but there are a few young guys that will do single posed figures for c $50 a pop. That is really cheap if you think about it I mean a decent drawing will take an artist 3 - 4 hours to complete often more so you are actually paying $12 - $13 dollars an hour and here in the UK a car mechanic costs £40 an hour a plumber costs £60 an hour and I have IT contractors working for me on £80 an hour and I can do the IT bit some of the plumbing and a bit of the mechanics myuself but i could never draw a decent image.

Well, free market and all that...  I don't think I'd ever pay for art, at least not this kind of comic-style art.

art, as with beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.
xP

Jim Lee's 'comic art' is the basis for character 'look' on the new DC Online graphics.... now THAT comic art can get expensive!
though I have original pieces from Lee & others, my pay range for a drawing I usually pay is between 60 ans 150 American$, highest for Travis Charest piece, unfinished even, but true ART.

Fair enough, though I find it a sad commentary (of some kind) that art pays better than the written word.

Quote from: Malleus Aforethought;454345A couple that make me think of Dworkin composing the Book of the Unicorn:

And especially this one:

I like them: he could well be Dworkin, a naked mad man changing the future of the multiverse, for unknown reasons.

So the book of shadows tell
The weak will always obey the master"

I just realized that some of you may not know Hero Machine, especially the 3rd version. For those of us that are pencil-impaired when it comes to drawing, it can be an awesome tool to design pictures of your own amberites:

RPGPundit

That's not really how I picture Dworkin.

As for heromachine, I agree its a good resource.  But lazy as I am, and enamoured with other people's artistic skills, I think deviantart is more to my liking.  My last campaign was run with the aid of literally thousands of deviantart images (didn't end up using half of them, mind you).
