This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

One problem the Amber magic system had was a lack of available spells.  Shadow Knight helped that out a bit giving us new spells for Dara, Mandor, and Merlin, but its still relatively small.

So this is the thread for anyone who wants to add new spells to the Amber repetoire.  Give out the spells and descriptions in their regular format as they would have appeared in the Amber game book, and if you want to add whether the spell would be the creation of a particular Amberite or Chaos Lord (who you had specifically in mind when thinking up the spell) let us know.

A little thread resurrection since it appeals to my needs.  Hope others will follow since the only spell lists i could find online was one that wanted me to sign up for some document downloading service.  Thanks, but no thanks.

I'll start slow

My players developed a lot of Conversational Magic along the lines of Mandor's Culinary magic.

Quick Change
This spell connected to a set of attire someplace in shadow.  It usually connected to about a dozen outfits.  A list was kept. Formal-Amber, Formal-CivWar, Formal Rebma, Formal Courts, Swim Attire-Coney Island, Battle Dress (1) Battle Dress (2),  Mountaineering Garb, Medieval Casual, City Wear-NuYark, Radiation Suit,  Scuba Gear.

It took the outfit the person was wearing and placed it on a balcony outside the room the closet was in.  This was changed from replacing the worn outfit on the summoned outfit's hanger when a player suddenly wearing burned clothes made an exchange and i had the rest of the closet, and a bedroom in Amber, engulfed in flames after the exchange.

To quote Random, "Doria, you got some 'splainin to do"

Show Book.
This Spell made a basically Illusionary version of a book appear so other could read it but not actually lay their hands on it.  This spell had been developed because even in Amber, people didn't return books they borrowed.

Recall Conversation
This spell made the player using it recite a conversation exactly as they had experienced it.

-----

Reload
This spell reloads a magazine's ammo from places stored on one's person.
Different type of ammo could be designated.
Reload Armor Piercing, Reload Incendiary, Reload spell inscribed, Reload Silver, Reload Wood

A modified version was Refill Quiver for obvious uses and reasons.
I did not let a player make this spell able to refill from storage in shadow till they created a similar version from advanced sorcery.

Malvern Hill
This spell opened a  small portal between the realm of the caster and a spot in front of a massive fire of Vulcan cannons.  The creator of this spell had a m61 Vulcan Cannon ready to fire.  A radar repeater sent a pulse at the spot the spells opening opened many times a second.  Ifthe repeater hit a wall it kept the weapon ready

When the portal opened it automatically started firing literally thousands of rounds in a terrible torrent.   This offensive weapon horrified the people who knew guns did not work in their realm but forgot that kinetic energy did.
