This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

After reading the Amberzine topic, I decided to peruse my old copies of Amberzine. Flipping through the pages of the first issue, I ran across an ad for the first two books Amber novels on audio cassette read by Zelazny himself. So, I decided to see if they're on sale some where out there on the Internet. Well, they have them on Amazon for.....$50?!!! A new copy, that is. A used copy you can get for $10-$5.

So.... Does anyone have these? Have you listened to them? Are they any good? Is it worth getting?

I managed to find them and download them, not an easy feat. Looking for the link at the moment... will post later if I find it. Anyway, have only listened to some, all Corwin's cycle. I personally love it, it's always interesting to hear a work in the author's own voice. It's very... noir, actually. Interesting feel.

Oh yeah! I'm an audio book/podcast addict. Real stuff recorded by Zelazny? I want it !

Vivamus: I'm assuming that's not public domain?

Please do NOT link to filesharing material here that's under copyright. You all know that ideologically, I'm utterly pro-filesharing, but this site cannot engage in directing people to material that could presently create legal issues for this site.

Please don't do this again, any of you.
