The issue is items created by TSR and WotC, like using the term: Otiluke's Resilient Sphere or Melf's Acid Arrows, you can still use them just drop the name.  Say you want to use the bulette, ok by SRD but not the mind flayers.

There is nothing wrong covering bases, use the creative commons license and move on personally.  Reuse the monsters there and create your own flavor of existing monsters that are creatively distinct, like what Collvile did with his Mind Flayers or his Beholder.  We all know what Matt did, but WotC can't do anything about it.

Don't think they've covered Pundit's stuff before.

Is that the correct link? Don't see BoF there.

British company TT Combat has a line of Stalingrad MDF terrain specifically for Bolt Action. You can get some of them at Noble Knight games for a reasonable price, including a ruined version Pavlov's House.

Sadly, some of the bigger, more impressive sets are out of stock at Noble Knight but you can still buy them directly from TT Combat which claims to have free shipping to the US for orders over 100 pounds.

If you look at the pre-generated characters in old modules, you'll see that negative ACs were very common. For example, in D1, the sample characters are all around 10th level and their ACs listed are: -4, -3, -2, 1, -3, -1, 0, -3, and -2.

In S1, all the characters have magical armor or rings/cloaks of protection and all fighters have magical shields.

This whole "Gary really meant you were supposed to reroll your HP EVERY LEVEL!" is just stupid.

Nobody is claiming that Gary Gygax did hit points this way. Only that some people in Dave Arneson's group did it this way. And since Dave's D&D predates Gygax's D&D, his method is the original method (and, as people have pointed out, it is just objectively mechanically superior).

Quote from: SHARK on May 05, 2024, 05:41:50 PMJust recently, like three weeks ago or so, GW cancelled 50% of the Age of Sigmar game. I saw this one video where a fan had spent 5,000 dollars on this huge, gorgeous army--that is now cancelled. He threw them all into the trash, and said "Fuck Games Workshop! I'm Done!" You could tell that he was both heartbroken and enraged. I am totally empathetic for his feelings. I was there, exactly similar.

I really have no sympathy when Age of Sigmar was created by making the entire Old World Warhammer Fantasy obsolete. How can you be surprised when GW does the exact same thing again to the exact same franchise?

Back to the OP.

While I'm no fan of woke-ism or their arguments for sanitized games with no mention of hardcore crimes, I do recognize their right to do so.

Their table, their rules.

That is why that post is so baffling.  If you want a game to have Greek Gods who have strong morals, just do it.  It's not even hard.  It's all make believe, right?

But, the core tenet is your table, your rules.

I just won't ask to play in that game of touchy-feely because I want horrible crimes to happen so we have something to do.

They do that pretty much every year in May.  Sales slow down in the spring so they announce price hikes and people rush to buy before the hike.
