This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Spoiler
Mithanos grins at the stranger. "If it looks fun, I keep it. Shiny I'll share. Everything else is up to the others. Welcome aboard. Mr Metalman will direct you on how to kill." He giggles as he pokes his finger into the sword wound in the dwarf. "He's pretty good at that part." He then licks his fingers clean and wanders into the temple, trusting on the ones before him to trigger any traps.

EnkiduAwakened

Sky, I love your character. xD

RazmaVahna

Spoiler
*with a surprised looks on Vahna's face*
*Vahna quietly scavenges anything he can find on the dwarf*

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
I have two questions.

What do we do now and how much gold can I get from selling a dead dwarf?

Sky Clouden

Spoiler
Sticking his head out of the temple door, Mithanos calls to the assassin slayer. "Oi! We're in 'ere!" Then, running to catch up with the cleric, I lean in and whisper something secret to him.

And, why thank you, mysterious person. He is a loveable scamp...

EnkiduAwakened

Spoiler
Nil stopped abruptly.  His heart accelerated, and he gripped the tome slung over his shoulder hard enough for his knuckles to turn white.  A bead of sweat trickled from his forehead onto the floor of the temple.  Was he turning an even paler shade of white?

He bent so that he was eye level with the child and got very close to his face, a vicious glare protruding through his panic.  He whispered something in return, but he then stood upright, took a deep breath and seemed to regain his composure.  He then leaned in and whispered something else, peering sternly into Mithanos's eyes.

liam134

Too much whispering, not enough Gming. Where is Sano? lol

RazmaVahna

Spoiler
*Vahna quickly removes the dwarf's heart and puts it into knapsack*
Hey guys!
Wait for me!
*Catches up to party*

Sano Arcanos

I'm here, Liam. The bio department have discovered a source of free and - to them, unending - energy: slave labor. But, aye, on with the story.

Spoiler
As your party makes its way into the temple, you find that the structure was built like a labyrinth. You arrive in a room from which five hallways lead out of, with you standing in one of the five. On the floor, you see four massive stone concentric circles. The outermost circle is divided into four parts, each one labeled with either a tree, a stone, a flame, and a spring. The second outer circle is divided into two parts, one marked with a sun and the other with a moon. The third circle is divided into five portions, with signs that you can vaguely translate into numbers - 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. The inner most circle has a large podium on it. The room is lit by an opening in the ceiling, from which a powerful beam of light is allowed entrance. There is no one you can see in the room.

And, for everyone's general good playing, I hereby, by the power invested in me, award unto ye mine players, the following summary of rewards:
500exp each.
Yeah... so... don't blow it all in one place...
When people like to argue, I just remember what Crona said:
I bet dead people are easier to get along with.

RazmaVahna

Spoiler
*Vahna checks the room for traps*

Shinynicoli

Arcana check on the room.

Perception

You know I have never rolled a good number. Ever.
Whither shall I Wander?

Sky Clouden

Spoiler
Mithanos pushes his way past the front-people and into the room proper. Seeing the podium in the center of the room, he dashes to it giddly. "Hey guys! Look what I found! It's a big rock-thingy!" He then peers at the podium intently for a while before nodding. "Yup, definitely a big rock thingy."

Arcana check on the podium and its contents

And I assume I can see what's on the podium without a check, right?

Just be glad you have that 7 mod lol. It will happen. I rolled that one good number and saved our little sorcerer. Don't rush it. They come when they are most needed.

Spoiler

Falchion marches back to the entrance of the temple. He pulls out his rope, checks for a secure part of the non-broken statue and ties it securely around its shoulder. He then fastens it to his left hand and walks back to the center room. He kneels down and inspects the various markings, running his hands over the etchings in the floor. The metal beast occasionally places his forehead against the ground.

You didn't specify what you were looking for with History, and really, even perception... thanks Liam. You'll regret that.

Sorry, I thought it was obvious... History of the markings, and perception was in case I needed it at any point during my post. I did not think I would, it was just a precaution.
