This is the OOC thread. The IC thread is now open, feel free to post whatever you'd like, if you want to, in reaction to the arrival of outsiders in your Kaer. Eventually all of you will be summoned to the Council Chamber around dinner time.

Okay Game Day was today, and my daughter has a field trip tomorrow. So I will get us moving faster tomorrow afternoon, after the field trip.

Garon makes a Perception test. He's step 4 on Perception - damn trolls! - and thus rolls a d6.

I'm afraid a 4 only buys you this: Minas seems tense, and from the set of his posture and the look on his face he's definitely been yelling at someone. Behind him, just inside the door is two more Guardsmen, both look shaken, but say nothing.

Isil realizes we've been summoned to the only large private chamber in the kaer so that the horror-possessed dwarves can consume our flesh and bathe in our anguish. Shorter game than you expected, neh?

You notice the Zombies...I mean uhm, obviously you're more perceptive than your larger companion. Besides what I described to him you notice that the Dwarves have left their armor and weapons in a neat stack, discreetly near the second row of seats. They glow with a faint enchantment, which you'd be willing to guess is some sort of alarm.

You also see that a table has been placed in the center of the room, on one sideis the dwarves, on the other is the Council of Peers-divided clearly into two groups. At the Head of the Table is Navic, who looks exhausted. At the foot of the table is Thork who looks angry, and excited. Obviously a great argument has taken place.

Any specific questions based on this? Or anything I missed you'd like described?

Protocol here is that we can sit down and talk politely? Or is this more of a stand-and-answer-"Yessir" situation?

It's more informal, so sitting down is not out of the question.

Given the presence of the Council, I think Guard-trained Garon will come to [whatever passes for] attention, and remain there until granted leave to act or speak or be at ease.

Paul has suffered a catastrophic computer failure, and will be less easily able to get online for the next week or so until we can repair it, just so you all know why he's a bit slow.

Thanks to Engine my machine is at least working for the time being, and pretty comparable to it's previous performance level. But my schedule for today, and last night has been pretty harsh, so I'm hoping to get us moving forward this evening when I get out of work. (Even if I get out late.)
