This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Looking for some roleplayers

Hey there, thanks for dropping by.

I recently moved and unfortunately have not been able to find a regular gaming group yet. Which for me is an important and distressing situation as I've now gone over 3 months without running a game and I'm beginning to suffer withdrawls.

So this post is to see if there are players interested in playing any of the options below.

System / Setting

Pathfinder / Golarian (Pathfinder Core Setting)

3.5 / Iron Kingdoms (Privateer Press - Full Metal Fantasy)

3.5 / Forgotten Realms or Eberron (D&D Classics)

3.5 / Ptolus (Monte's City of the Spire)

Personally I really like all these settings, (even though each has their own distinct flavor) which is why I'm looking for player input as to which one has the strongest siren's call. Its been a couple of years since I last ran a PbP game, but I've GM'ed each of these settings in the past so I don't think there will be any problems getting things up and running.

On the mechanics side of things I'm thinking of starting the characters around lv 3-5. I've got a rather extensive collection of D20/3.5 books so if there is a particular race / class combination you're interested in playing, lets talk about it.

I guess that's it for now. You can find me at Fantasy Chapters as the owner is kind enough to let me host my games there.

Aloha Morashitar ! I am game for some PbP...have not played much 3.5 stuff but am willing to give it a whirl!

Have you seen the Ptolus PbP starting up here at good ol' RPGSite?
:)
Form the group wisely, make sure you share goals and means.
Set norms of table etiquette early on.
Encourage attentive participation and speed of play so the game will stay vibrant!
Allow that the group, milieu and system will from an organic symbiosis.
Most importantly, have fun exploring the possibilities!

Running: AD&D 2nd. ed.

Hi there. I haven't seen the other game but will check it out.

Yeah if you like to try the game go to the site and register. You might like it. We have 8 members playing DnD but a 9th would be great to split the group in half. I hope to see you there. //www.fantasychapters.com

Miami, eh?  I have a military buddy who recently moved down there who has also been complaining about the dearth of gamers.  PM me your email if you want and I'll pass it to him.
Wampus Country - Whimsical tales on the fantasy frontier

"Describing Erik Jensen\'s Wampus Country setting is difficult"  -- Grognardia

"Well worth reading."  -- Steve Winter

"...seriously nifty stuff..." -- Bruce Baugh

"[Erik is] the Carrot-Top of role-playing games." -- Jared Sorensen, who probably meant it as an insult, but screw that guy.

"Next con I\'m playing in Wampus."  -- Harley Stroh

I've played all but Ptolus so I'd be open for any of them as I like new challenges.
