This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Those of you coming over from Dr Rotwang's blog --roll call!

EDIT: Game is officially full. Just waiting for the long tail of players to wind its way across the internet and settle here.

Timbo

I'd like to cap the game at 6 so we don't get tooo unwieldy.

I know nothing of the EN World game, but EC is cool. :)

Rock and Roll, Timbo!

I'll email Rondo, make sure he knows about the venue change.  Should we go ahead and post our characters to this thread as well?

Description:
In the olden days of yore, Young Yuri Von Richthofen grew up in the shadow of his father, the world renowned cave primitive fighter ace.  Unable to follow his father into the world of aerobatics due to a freak accident during a game of bloody knuckles, Yuri instead went into the field of mad science.  After years of laborious study and grave robbing, Yuri succesfully built his creature.  Unfortunately, for Yuri, the creature soon escaped and fled into the frozen wilderness of northern Vanth.

Not too long ago, a research expedition uncovered the frozen creature locked in the polar ice.  After thawing out, Creature thanked the scientists and went on his way.  After a misunderstanding with the God City Police Department, Creature finds himself nicely equipped for a life of adventure.

I've got a heromachine portrait done up, but when I post the link it's not loading correctly.  If you PM me your email address, I'll email you a copy Timbo.

Oh yeah, not that I'm whining, but wouldn't scientific realism dictate that the stronger you are the better chance you have of resisting damage?  Instead the opposite is true, with a bonus for weaklings and penalty for he-men.  Ok, I am whining, but feel no need to listen to me :)

This should be lots of fun!

How many people do you have now?  Are you looking for more people? :)

Your hit points should be 16 at Level 1.  So when the weaklings punch you you can survive a bit longer.

My theory?  It's King of the Mountain rules: you're the toughest, so everyone hits you harder trying to prove something.

Hey Stuart, I've been sort of the game recruiter so I'll answer.  We have 4 confirmed and 2 tentative.  Maybe someone flakes out, or Timbo decides to add a 7th....?

I'll port my char sheet over this afternoon.  My Cave Wooky can totally beat the Frankenstein at arm-wrestling, but will totally lose the World's Strongest Monster competition due to his inability to Labor.

Figured out I was supposed to fold "Interactions" into my Leadership traits.  Wow that pushed seduce down to -31% !  My guy is not what one would call "a ladies man" :)

Rondo

I'm here.  Are we picking up where we were, or starting over just a bit?  My character can be viewed over at //www.rondo-encountercritical.blogspot.com

Rondo

So, we have V.R.s Creature, Tic Tac, Buck and that makes 3.  Three more of us or so, and we should be ready to go.  Man, Buck has got some monster buddies!  I'm starting to feel like Han Solo in this setup! ;)
