Hey just letting people know the good news.  ZakS won four awards in the Ennies.  Two gold and two silver.  Golds are for writing and setting.  Silver is for product of the year and best adventure.  I bet you are surprise ZakS, but hey congrats on your victory.  You pretty much deserved it.

That is good news! But I still have a backlog of material to acquire. This just makes my wishlist that much larger. (It's a great sign though, bumping up RaPL several slots towards the "buy now" top.)

You know, people keep comparing non-TSR D&D to deck-building in Magic: the Gathering. But maybe it\'s more like Katamari Damacy. You keep sticking shit on your characters until they are big enough to be a star.

Congratulations, ZakS! I'm sure it's well-deserved, though I'm not familiar with all of your work:).
And now I have to head back to TBP to see the reaction to those same news;).

Got any links? I'd like to see some drama but I don't want to have to actually search that place anymore.

Not that exciting yet, but give it time (Zak starts getting mentioned 1/3 of the way down the page):

So far it's generally positive... even the negative comments are no where near as craven as I would have expected.

Chivalric

The people who really want to make the craven comments probably won't because of how petty it would make them look.

What voting for the Ennies did for me was to cause me to look into a lot of products I otherwise would not have.  I didn't vote without first searching for info about the games, actually looking at examples of the art in question.  I'm sure lots of people didn't take as long as I did but I'm guessing at least some grabbed PDFs, read reviews and got a legitimate idea about what Zak's work was about.

I fear to ask: what is the problem people have with ZakS?

I stopped reading Yourdungeoissuck because they really seem to hate ZakS. The kind of hate that wants to destroy and kill, double plus ungood.

What's up with all that?

I know what people hate about theRPGPundit, but ZakS?

What's next, DocRotwang?
