Title: Wretched Darkness

I review the Red Room's "Wretched Darkness", their (huge) modern horror OSR ttrpg book covering multiple subgenres and resources.

I own the first edition of this game, and I didn't really like it, at least compared to Wretched New Flesh or Wretched Epoch, I felt it overlapped too much with those games without feeling distinct.

But given this review I might pick up the second edition, I'm currently working on a game in a similar genre to this and Invisible College, so kind of curious to see what they've updated/changed for myself.

Wretched Darkness' best bit, to me, is their collection of random tables and random generators ("random generator" being multi-table groups that combine to create something more sophisticated than a single random table can do).
