SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

WotC's entire back catalog to be released electronically starting 2013.

I think it would just look like the rambling text of a priest who worshiped a mad god.  Which isn't all that odd for D&D adventures.

Quote from: StormBringer;574460You can always print out the pages you need from a pdf...

Or pick up a cheap tablet.  I'd bet you can render pdfs on something less than your total print costs over, say, a year.

The more and more I use my Tablet, the less and less I have to rely on print to find items.

That said, there's something to definitely be said about good bookmarking, and search functions.

I wouldn't be surprised.  Barnes and Noble has their low-end nook touch for $100 or less, a sturdy Android tablet is around the same or a little less, and off-brand tablets can be had for less than that if compatibility or general usability isn't a concern.
If you read the above post, you owe me $20 for tutoring fees

Quote from: Justin Alexander;573925What if the subscription gave you streaming access to the entire back catalog?

I want access to the material when I don't have an internet connection. The only way I might even consider this is if it worked something like Rhapsody where i can download the files and use them so long as I log in once once a month to update the DRM permissions. Anything that requires to have internet access to use is out.

Also, if I can't print from the documents, I will not go for it. I need to have hardcopies of whatever monsters, treasures, etc. I'm using for each week's adventure.

They're never know how lucky they are not knowing how to read.
But at least there's titanium.
