They're pretty cowardly, in my opinion, because there are no places for essay questions.

Will the results be published automatically without their ability to tweak the responses/results?  If not, it's not a big mistake because they can ignore it and just pay lip service to the parts they wanted to change anyways instead.

Is there any proof that this is a survey done by WOTC instead of just a random joe setting it up?

Well, it jumped from 50% to 100% based on my answers.  I'm guessing I'm not who they're looking to hear from.  Ah, well, my answers are a bit weird as I closed my store down six months ago.  And yeah, I had D&D books on the shelf and yeah, I suggested them to people.  If I do another store I probably won't bother carrying D&D again.  It's a weird thing but in reality I probably won't bother having another store.  11 years was enough to make me not like gamers very much

It's a fair question but yes, this is from WOTC. alchemer is what they use for these.

It depends on how WotC is sampling, online is just horribad for sampling. 

If they go to D&D Beyond, they'll get the demiqueer foxkin looking for 12 year old boys to teach race marxism and share puberty blocker type crowd, they will love the current direction of D&D. 

Meanwhile, if they went to the hobby shops where people still play, they'll most likely get good responses from the players.  The DM's response will be negative because we have to convert older content to 5E to keep players player.  The amount of work I've had to do is too damn high.  I'm just rerunning a current campaign with my hobby shop group I built for my online group due to the prep time it requires now to fix 5E shit.

I require that phones be put away during the session at my campaign. Don't want to roll physical dice? Ok no problem join another campaign. I have a ton of loaner dice on hand because players (even those that do have dice) forget them on occasion. I run AD&D and B/X based games these days. Prep wise I don't have time for a lot of 5E horseshit. I will still play 5E if a friend wants to run it, but I won't seek out a 5E game with strangers just to play it. A survey without the option for comments isn't worth the effort. They can load the questions however they want to get the desired responses.

I'll take your word on that but is there proof that *THIS* survey is from WOTC?  I assume that WOTC wouldn't be the only company/legal entity/person using the service.  Is there a link on an official WOTC webpage asking for the feedback or a screenshot from supposedly private playtest communications asking for it?   How did this link first appear/get noticed?  I don't have any problem with random people conducting their own poll (and answered it myself) but was just curious in my typically skeptical way.

Replying to surveys like this will not change anything they didn't already want changed. It is not a good use of your time.

I answered neutral opinion and had not recommended in more than year and did not like their current direction for both. My thinking is that if they think they could have had a customer if not for their current direction, it will improve the odds of them paying attention by 0.001%
