Hmm. Interested in DM2 and Revenge of the Giants, not much else.

Depending on what Tomb of Horrors turns out to be, I might be interested in it. If it's a new take on the classic module, and/or expands on the nifty Return to the Tomb of Horrors boxed set, then my interest is piqued.

I don't plan on getting too heavily invested in splatbooks like the "Races" or "Powers" series. If I ever reassemble a group, I'll leave it up to them to get such books. The core is enough for me, though I realize the PHBs could be termed splatbooks, too, and I'll likely grab PHB3.

I have yet to be impressed by any of WotC's adventures. The ones I've seen have been lackluster, and I simply dislike the format and packaging. Plus, I just think they're too damned expensive for the amount of content. I'd sooner have b&w illustrations and maps and non-slick paper for my adventures, because that's what I can use more easily.

Wonder what titles they will do after Sept 2010 and into 2011.

Most likely they'll do PHB4, DMG4, and MM4 in 2011.

Other title guesses could be:

- Adventurer's Vault 3
- Martial Power 3
- Arcane Power 2
- Divine Power 2
- Primal Power 2
- Psionic Power 1
- Player's Strategy Guide 2
- more 32 page PH Races books
- Shadow Power 1
- Elemental Power 1

- Demonomicon 2
- Open Grave 2
- Dragonomicon 3
- Underdark 2
- Dungeon Delve 2
- Dragon Annual Vol. 2
- Dungeon Annual Vol. 2
- more Planar books

I am interested in seeing how 3D they go with the dungeon tiles.   D&D Heroscape and the Ravenloft boardgame are curious, I will be interested to see how WotC does in the boardgame world.

PHB 3 and Dark Sun are probably the only must-buy on the list for me.

Any details on the Ravenloft boardgame?

Looking through a list of older 3E/3.5E splatbooks, other possible titles that haven't yet been made directly into 4E versions are:

- Deities and Demigods
- Faiths and Pantheons
- Book of Vile Darkness
- Book Exalted Deeds
- Champions of Ruin
- Champions of Valor
- Lords of Darkness
- Exemplars of Evil
- Elder Evils
- Stronghold Builder's Guidebook
- Heroes of Battle
- Heroes of Horror
- Unearthed Arcana
- more Races books (ie. Races of Stone, Wild, Destiny, and Dragon).
- more Monsters Manuals, Fiend Folio, etc ...
- Libris Mortis
- Lords of Madness:  The Book of Aberrations
- environments (ie. Frostburn, Sandstorm, Stormwrack, etc ...)
- Magic of Incarnum
- Tome of Magic:  Pact, Shadow, and Truename Magic
- Fiendish Codex I & II
- Book of Nine Swords
- Dragon Magic
- Ghostwalk

I suppose they'll raid more stuff from these titles, before 4E has run out of steam.

I agree.  It looks rather lackluster.

This is assuming a 3pp is willing to step up to the plate, without being whacked by WotC.  The smarter 3pp's like Paizo, have stayed away so far.

Of the companies which have released 4E splatbooks + modules (ie. Goodman, XRP, Mongoose, etc ...), so far the 4E products released haven't really caught my attention yet.  The 4E Dungeon Crawl Classics modules (by Goodman) are so far ok, but nothing I would consider really outstanding.  XRP's 4E books + modules haven't really caught my attention at all.  (XRP's 1-on-1 and OSRIC modules were better in comparison).  Mongoose's 4E stuff hasn't really caught my attention at all either.  (Their Traveller RPG books are more interesting).

December 2009 seems very light in new products as well. Compared to other months I mean. Is that usual?

Dragonlance or Greyhawk being released in 2011, wouldn't be very exciting.

I honestly don't give much of a damn about DL at this point, but Greyhawk? Please, God, no.

There wasn't much fanfare or hype before the release of 4E Forgotten Realms more than a year ago.  There wasn't much hype before the release of 4E Eberron either.  In fact, both were kind of like snoozers from their initial announcements and leading up to their respective releases.

EDIT:  I wouldn't be surprise if Dark Sun ends up being a snoozer too over the next 12 months.

That is pretty typical actually. You get your holiday products out in September through November because by December, most everyone is done with their Christmas shopping.

You also want a few things in January, to catch people making returns or who got cash for Christmas.

But December is a big retail hole.

And yeah, I have the retail scars to show where I learned this info in the form of a big uh, target, if you catch my meaning ;)
