Whenever Mike Mearls announced on Twitter "...a few exciting things for 2015", I don't believe anyone would have seen this coming.
It may spell some interesting things for the Pathfinder setting. How they intend to collapse all "3.75" edition crunch into 5th edition D&D will be a strange, wonderful experiment:

you sonofabitch:)
Didn't even click...although, Paizo buying a stake in Frog God or something would have been fairly plausible.
I admit, you got me.
Although, I should have remembered what date it is, and I was technically "saved" by the fact that I don't use adblock.
:D
thing is the title alone made me think trick...now is hasbro has acquired it i may have believed it :)
Heh.
Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike
Guess what DAY it is!!!!
Good one! :D
Looked at the title and though, "what the...". then remembered the date. Good one.:)
And yes, I can confirm that both links are the same, and leads to a Rick Roll.
You fooled me. Well played.
Good one! I wasn't fooled as the tech industry online abuses April Fool's to the point that its not funny.
Another good one might also be "Lorraine Williams Becomes CEO of Paizo"...

man i would not even joke about that shit
im falling for everything this year you would think i would be more aware considering i was up all last night playtesting an april fools joke
I had vaguely considered doing an April Fools joke where I'd hint I'd been hired as a consultant on the Blue Rose kickstarter; but I decided it just wasn't worth attempting.

No one would have believed you'd be consulting for Blue Rose. An April Fools joke needs to be at least momentarily plausible. You know something like:
QuoteNo-one would have believed, in the early years of the twenty-first century, that human affairs were being watched from the timeless worlds of space. No-one could have dreamed that we were being scrutinized, as someone with a microscope studies creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. Few men even considered the possibility of life on other planets. And yet, across the gulf of space, minds immeasurably superior to ours regarded this earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely, they drew their plans against us..."

Well exactly, that's why I didn't bother.
