This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

In GURPS: Robots (3rd Edition) pages 101-110 there is a short section about robots and campaigns, its pretty bare-bones, but might give you some ideas.

I believe that Spacemaster also had a robot supplement that might have some useful information in it.

Robots don't have pointed ears.

It depends on what kind of robots they are.

You could run a WestWorld type game where the pcs are robot elves in a fantasy role playing world who malfunction and start hunting the human tourist/players.

I also suggested a possible 'mix' of Androids, Cyborgs, and robots.

Hehe...I think it likely I can find pointy eared robots...like say Optimus Prime.

Oh, come now.  It's the God given right of every GURPS player to have their pseudo-outrage over standard fantasy tropes.  :)

Quote from: wulfgar;249047If I was going to run such a game, I'd use...Heroes Unlimited/Ninjas&Superspies which has rules for a wide range of android/robot/cyborg characters, and I already have the books.

That was my thought.  Give everyone the same budget, pull stuff from HU, TMNT, N&S and go to town.  I see it going down in a very Bubblegum Crises sort of way.

Yes. As long as it's mind-process is imaginable for player there's no problem with playing it.
You ARE the enemy. You are not from "our ranks". You never were. You and the filth that are like you have never had any sincere interest in doing right by this hobby. You\'re here to aggrandize your own undeserved egos, and you don\'t give a fuck if you destroy gaming to do it.

Transformers? Ding! We have a winner!

There's always Exalted: the Autobots. Alternatively, I believe the fourth edition of Metamorphosis Alpha has rules for both robots and cyborgs.
