Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Runequest

QuoteSci-Fi/Space:
Star Frontiers

QuoteConspiracy/Horror:
World of Darkness

I'll make a random roll to see what I get before the "event" happens :haw:

Fantasy: Warhammer Fantasy.  Not because I play it most, only because it's the one fantasy game that has never once pissed me off by being stupid. And it works great with just one book.

Sci/Fi: Fading Suns second edition. Not that first was bad, but Second includes the slickest optional lifepath character generator I have ever seen. Plus the game rocks on toast.

Conspiracy/Horror: Um... SLA industries, if only to keep hope alive...

Superheros: Champions. Any Edition works for me if someone will run it.

Wild Card: I cheat and say GURPS here, because, well, I can run anything with it.;)
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.

O'Borg

Fantasy : Dragon Warriors - I know the system well enough to houserule it around and make it do what I want.
Sci-Fi : Gotta be Cyberpunk 2020 as its the only one I know well.
Conspiracy/Horror/Superheros : Never played them, so I'd take the GURPS sourcebooks that match closest. IIRC most gurps books have the Lite rules in the back anyway.

Wildcard : Words Largest Dungeon - because if this is one of those Desert Island questions, I'd prefer to avoid wiping my ass with leaves for as long as I could :D
Account no longer in use by user request.

Quire

Fantasy: RQ...2...no, III...no, 2...gah. III. And I'd houserule it.

SF: Classic Traveller

Conspiracy/Horror: Coc 5th

Superheroes: gor blimey...Golden Heroes

Wild Card: Amber

I don't really think in genre terms. Can I divide up the five games differently?
The past lives on in your front room
The poor still weak the rich still rule
History lives in the books at home
The books at home

Gang of Four

Fantasy: This is a difficult one, but I'll go with Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 2ed.

SciFi:
Haven't really played much sci-fi, but Shadowrun 4th it is.

Conspiracy/Horror:
CoC D100 or Delta Green, but because I've only read delta green and have played D100 I´ll go with CoC D100.

Superheroes:
Mutants & Masterminds 2ed

Wild Card:
This is the easiest choice Qin all the way.

Alas, no.  You must make your answers fit within genre definitions as much as you can.  Them's the rules. :)

Fantasy:
Definitely the D&D boxed set mentioned earlier. :p

Sci-Fi/Space:
Alternity.

Conspiracy/Horror:
Dark*Matter (setting for Alternity).

Superheroes:
I haven't played much in this genre.  I guess I'd just pick HERO -- I've never played it, but if I turned out to like it, I could probably get a lot of milage out of the core book.

Wild Card: (Can be any RPG product for any category)
GURPS 4th edition boxed set.

Settembrini

SciFi:
MegaTraveller boxed set

Conspiracy/Horror:
Dark Conspiracy

Fantasy:
Rules Cyclopedia

Superheroes:
Rifts

Wild Card:
My Battletech stuff
If there can\'t be a TPK against the will of the players it\'s not an RPG.- Pierce Inverarity

mysterycycle

Fantasy
Expert D&D Boxed Set (Moldvay Edition)

Sci-Fi/Space
Fuzion

Conspiracy/Horror
This is a hard one...I keep vacillating between Call of Cthulhu 5th Edition, World of Darkness, or Angel.

I guess I'll choose Angel.

Superheroes
Advanced Marvel Super Heroes

Wild Card
Another really tough one... So many games with evocative settings and cool stuff.  But in order to provide a fun miniatures game I can use with just about anything, I'll choose:

Savage Worlds.

Balbinus

Fantasy:  Hm, a toughy, probably Runequest 2e but further reflection may change that.  Rules Cyclopedia might work too.

Sci-Fi/Space:  Traveller Deluxe Boxed Set.

Conspiracy/Horror:  Call of Cthulhu, 3rd Edition.

Superheroes:  I don't really play Supers games, hm, I'll go for Savage Worlds core book here as that can do supers and does tons of other stuff too.

Wild Card: (Can be any RPG product for any category)  Space 1889.

Balbinus

I considered Qin as my wild card game, and even as my Supers game, but I've not played it yet which makes that a bit of a high risk strategy.
