This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

[WFRP 2e] Stats redux.

Oh, boy, another one of these.  Anyway, as I mentioned before, the way that Toughness works in WFRP irritates me.  Furthermore, I like the way that Agility is handled in Dark Heresy.  I also dislike rolling for wounds.  What I'm proposing:

Might: Might is your Toughness and your Strength combined into a single stat.  You add your Might bonus to your melee weapon attacks and your total wounds.  You subtract half your Might bonus from all damage that you take.

Agility: You have an Agility bonus (calculated the same as SB/TB), which influences your speed.

Obviously the Might stat is the biggest change.  Give me your thoughts and/or hrumph.
Quote from: Black Vulmea;530561Y\'know, I\'ve learned something from this thread. Both B.T. and Koltar are idiots, but whereas B.T. possesses a malign intelligence, Koltar is just a drooling fuckwit.

So, that\'s something, I guess.

Rincewind1

I hrumpf, because you can be quite strong due to your mass alone, and be very bad at actually tolerating the pain or keeping up with prolonged physical exercise, and such a thing is possible if you have Strength and Toughness separate. Plus what you propose makes an already quite deadly mechanic, even deadlier.

Agility idea is fine.
Furthermore, I consider that  This is Why We Don\'t Like You thread should be closed

I side with Rincewind on this. Might removes a number of build types form PCs and monsters. It also makes big tough PCs/NPCs even stronger. All for underlying criticisms that I don't really agree with.

Then again, you knew I would say that :)
