I've got an idea for a new feature for my site (www.theescapist.com) that I've been banging around for a while now. It would be a series of columns detailing the "roleplaying scene" in different parts of the world - how the gamers look and dress, what games are popular, what games are only available in that country, if LARP is popular, what the stores look like, what the public attitude towards gamers and gaming is like, and so on.

Think of it something like "Postcards from Buster," but with a global span and a specific focus on role-playing.

So, I'm interested in talking with some gamers from around the world who think they would like to participate in something like this - writing, taking pictures, doing some small interviews, all that sort of thing. If you are interested, drop me a line at RPGadvocate@gmail.com. Thanks!

I'd be willing to be interviewed regarding the gaming scene in Uruguay, which I've written a lot about on my Blog. However, you could also as JongWK, another very well known Uruguayan gamer (who like me also has RPG-writing credits to his name).

Here in Korea there's not too much, I think only one real game store. The community is about 50/50 locals and expat scum.

I should have my players do a photo essay.  One of them would make a good poster child for the young, hip gamer.

While I'm just too insanely busy with other stuff to write such a column, I've posted about it on the Norwegian forum - hope you get someone there to write!

Also, there's the Nørwegian Style blog, which mostly has a lot of downloadable Norwegian RPGs, but also some articles about the Norwegian scene.

I think it would be more practical (in terms of getting more responses) if you did it in the format of interviews; or failing that, at least like a questionnaire or something.

I'm planning to do it both ways.  I've got a few responses already from people who are pretty eager to write the whole thing from their perspective, and for those who don't have the time (or for any other reason), I can do the interview thing.
