This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

So...I've seen this around....can anyone tell me what's good about it? I kinda want it, but I haven't seen it :)

Not really neccesary, IMHO. The biggest innovation is a deconstruction system for new core classes, which kinda defeats the simplicity of True20. Worse, it now includes rules for furries.

It depends on what you're using True20 for mostly. There are decent rules for honor (useful for japanese-inspired games, or maybe star trek), sanity and fear for your horror games, environment rules and various guidelines for sci-fi, hard coinage rules for those (like me) who hate the wealth system in fantasy games (although that's not too hard to fix even without the companion), and lots of helpful equipment rules and lists including some simple supernatural item creation rules. On the flip side, I was very disappointed in the ritual rules, so I'm still using the much better Blue Rose ritual rules. I'd say the Companion isn't bad, I'm glad I bought it, but it's nowhere near as good as the Blue Rose Companion (if ya ignore the little bit of BR setting crap) is IMO.
