Title: Thoughts on Masque of the Red Death Player's Guide (5e)?
Post by: RandyB on June 19, 2020, 09:51:50 PM
Anyone have any experience or comments on Masque of the Red Death Player's Guide for 5e? I've always found that gothic horror is best in its original milieu - the 19th century. Is this version of Masque worth considering?

If it's an official WOTC thing, I'd be wary of it given the 19th Century setting.

Especially if it came out in 2019 or later.

It's DMs Guild, so not official WOTC, but meeting DMs Guild guidelines. I'm sure it has the usual disclaimers, "representation" among sample PCs and NPCs, etc. I'm willing to overlook that on a very limited basis if there's sufficient good content. I have no hesitation about editing fluff to suit my own preferences.

I read a review and it sounds very good. In fact it sounds good enough to tempt me to maybe buy it.

In that case, it's worth a look at the very least
