SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The Paizo Forums turning into another Rpg.net

I was banned earlier today but I'm not surprised. Over tthe years I noticed a trend where a very vocal political correct SJW was given a free rein of the forums. With the approval of the mods and even worse those in charge. One has to agree with the PC SJW crowd. If they say a movie character is whitewashed an even if that poster is proven wrong ten times over they are right. Sometimes even being rude about. I'm flag such post to the mods yet nothing happens. What led to my banning was a discussion on whether or not Diversity is bad for comics. I don't hate it. Yet the same time Marvel handled it poorly. Iceman who was straight became gay. There is no indication he ever was imo in the comic. His bad luck at relationships with the opposite. So many men have similar trouble. I doubt they are all gay. Another poster found a clip of Jane Foster the new Thor fighting Absorbing Man and of course he is written a complete misogynistic piece of crap. Pointing out that Thor is a woman and that feminist ruin everything. While AM has been written as stupidly arrogant due to his power. I never felt he was misogynistic. The fact that they started putting that kind of writing in all their titles.

Of course if one is not a supporter of diversity 1000% then your a enemy on the Paizo forum. A few posters calling myself and others bigots and sexists for defending the rights of those who dislike diversity. I don't agree with those who feel that way. I will defend their right to disagree. Then they tried to backpedal and say they did not. It was just a huge clusterfuck. I called them out on being intolerant and was probably banned for it. It's like people don't know how to get a point across. Calling a person sexist and bigot for disliking diversity in a comic is not going to win that person over to diversity. One is simply going to anger that person.

Anyway watch your backs over at Paizo.com

You play Pathfinder you deserve what you get. :D
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

Yes, Sean Connery\'s thumb does indeed do megadamage. - Spinachcat

Isuldur is a badass because he stopped Sauron with a broken sword, but Iluvatar is the badass because he stopped Sauron with a hobbit. -Malleus Arianorum

"Tangency Edition" D&D would have no classes or races, but 17 genders to choose from. -TristramEvans

Complaining about other forums on a forum seems pointless. Complain on Twatter or something if you must. Or just suck it up.

remial

well, I for one appreciate the warning of the OP, I was thinking I might join Paizo's forums when Starfinder was released.  But with this warning, I'll avoid them.

and yes, I know Starfinder will probably suck, but I will try to give it a chance before passing judgement.

also I'm a believer that it is the group that makes a game suck, not automatically the rules themselves.  Yes some rules have a major head start, but still...

This site was made inspite of rpg.net as they went sjw.  Telling him to cry some where else goes against this very site.

Now to the OP.  Welcome to the forum and I had hope you had a better welcoming.

Welcome aboard!

Sorry to hear about the Paizo board, but its been on the horizon for years.

More reasons we need our main RPG forum to be politics free.

Welcome on therpgsite. I'm sure you'll have a difficult time trying to get banned here ;) :D

Oh and don't get me started on all the superheroes diversity bullshit. I mean i have nothing against making the field of superhero comics more inclusive and diverse...but not by making old and established heroes suddenly change. You want gay/female/hispanic/what-have-you superheroes in your comics? Great! Make up some new ones that fit that description. Is that so hard?! But don't try to bullshit me into believing this-and-that hero was gay/asian/female all along. Or that she/he is now "how she/he should have been in the first place" or other such nonsense.

Just look at the bullshit discussions about the new Iron Fist TV series...

Welcome. After Rpg.net, I have no intention of participating over at Paizo's forums. :D
The notion of an exclusionary and hostile RPG community is a fever dream of zealots who view all social dynamics through a narrow keyhole of structural oppression.

Talk gaming or talk to someone else.

When I was looking for a forum to discuss games on RPG.Net and Paizo were amongst the first I looked at and I've got to agree with the crowd but if your looking for a place to freely express an opinion those aren't it.

I don't mind the occasional RPG.Net thread but the Paizo forum is remarkably inbred, no offence to anyone, the core group is very small and all too busy back slapping each other to tolerate an outside high five.
Talk gaming or talk to someone else.
