While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). Statting up SRD monsters for OpenQuest

I am slowly moving on my little idle project to convert the SRD/PRD monsters to OpenQuest.

Lev published a subset in rpgreview and now I am tinkering away with gnolls, which as a sophont race deserve a bigger write up, and at least one cult and a spell or two.

It's fun, it's slow, no-one is looking over my shoulder, and I kinda hope someone is using them in a game somewhere.

What I am now asking for is if there are any fellow travellers who'd like to join me in the process? It's non pressured, slow tick tock conversion of the SRD monsters into OQ.

Why OQ? Well it's the only d100 ruleset wholly under the OGL  and fantasy, so it's legally simple to do, and it's close enough to BRP and RQ6 that anyone can use the stats as is (I do hit locations).

I'd like some people to toddle along with me, no pressure, no money in it, maybe we'll finish and publish it  get rolled into future OQ stuff, but hey.. this is a hobby not a job.

PM or email me..

Not that I disagree with your choice of OQ or your love of it (I love it too), but isn't Legend also fully under the OGL?

"All text of this book is designated as Open Content"

And all their "Legends Of" books are also Open Content as well.

True, I was wrong.
There is no readily available SRD for Legend that I am aware of, plus OQ sits nicely in the zone between BRP and RQ, and we can pillage the MRQ1 SRD for Traits and hit locations. Yes there is a SRD for AEONSII, but I wanted to stay central.

But we really have moved off the topic. What do you think about having SRD monsters for d100 games?

One problem is that they're very lethal for a d100 game if you convert them across at face value!
