SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam!!!!!

ever receive on of those pieces of spam that make you go WTF?

This was at the bottom of a Pump and Dump stock Spam message... (the ones with the embedded image)

The best horror rpgs are going to be the ones with the great settings.
For an unofficial variation of these rules, check out The Chosen by Alex Windsor.
Now that is a horror setting.
Understand, this is the goal of the Orpheus line- to grow and change with the metaplot. A little searching on the world wide web will turn up the backstory, and it is, indeed, nifty, but it has been the source for all sorts of consternation on the part of GMs, players, and the designer. While it has some wonderfully creepy ideas, the mechanics and weird setting hurt the playabilty of the game. Delta Green is a disgraced secret branch of the U. Have you ever played a trading card game and wished there was an easier way to keep track of hit points or counters? The place where Orpheus trips up as a horror rpg is in the non-horror elements that creep in to most of the supplements.
Rokugan has some of the most interesting and detailed NPCs around. Pace is a 24 Hour Game, which means it was started with the intention of writing a 24 page RPG inside of 24 contiguous hours. And what happens when everything you ever wanted becomes the thing you most despise?
Have you ever just wanted to have an all out slugfest with your characters?
In Grey World, you will find both. Please, give me some feedback! If you are hosting a game and view the players as your enemy, you are already off on the wrong foot. If you are a sports fan, you may be familiar with ESPN.
Well, I hope you enjoy this majestic game. The game's set wherever you're playing the game - and whatever you can see around you right now is allowed to be described as being in the game.

Google searches on some of the quotes reveal they all appear to have come from http://www.1km1kt.net/rpg/. Somebody's little spider is working overtime to harvest game related quotations to defeat spam filters.

Dominus Nox

Hey, has anyone put spam in a RPG setting? I was just imagining a setting where the players are assigned to help a community survive or succeed in some way, and one major problem they have is the computer networks are constantly being clogged with spam of various types, and none of the businesses will quit because each fears that if the do the competition will gain an advantage.

So the players have to stop spam by any means necessary.

Could be a fun session or two there.
RPGPundit is a fucking fascist asshole and a hypocritial megadouche.

Yes, but in your day job you don't get to stop spam with high explosives and air-to-ground missiles.  In an RPG, that may be possible.

Who's to say he doesn't do it that way in his day job?
