Anyone? Be it on the 31st or thereabouts? What was it?

Last session of a FFG Star Wars game. It was an absolutely horrifying experience (for me). Couldn't have focused on the game if I had wanted to with all the little bastards ringing the doorbell for candy. Good thing I really had no desire to focus on that game.

At our usual Saturday night Star Wars session they found an ancient derelict ship with thousands of cryogenic chambers. But nothing on life scans. We had to finish up the previous adventure before we started on the derelict ship so they didn't get very far into the horror part. That will occur after the cryo chambers open and the undead rise.

I was going to run a Fate horror adventure, but time got the better of me. Instead, I got together with a few friends and tried out Lovecraftesque. A lot of fun, and zero-prep which was an interesting change of pace. Would love to do it again some day.

Just to expand a bit. I was running horror adventures all month inspired by Pu Songling's Strange Tales. One of our sessions fell on Halloween as well so that worked out nicely. In the Tuesday group, that included one haunted villa, an murder mystery centered on a head-taking dragon lantern, a scenario involving a judge trying to bring Chinese hell on earth and an adventure where a fox spirit and ghost are fighting over the life of a scholar. We had 1 TPK very early on. Another character was disfigured horribly by a ghost. So it was fairly eventful for the PCs as Octobers go.

I was out wandering the neighborhoods with my kids Halloween night, but the weekend before I ran another playtest session of Carpathia, the eventually-forthcoming Barbarians of Lemuria hack for pulpy Victorian monster-hunting horror-adventure.

My current group uses Halloween to test out new systems. This past Saturday we did a post zombie-invasion on-off with the Unbound system.

Very well! The Players were quite scared... well, for the lives of their characters, at least.
