This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Darn it, where's that list of "most talked about" tabletop rpgs again?

Quote from: Arminius;723101I imagine it does, but that still raises questions as to how the various sources are counted and weighted.

They are counted using RSS feeds fed through the algorithm looking for keywords (I think), and there is no weighting.  All posts count equally.  If this board had an RSS feed, then this thread would get counted as much as any EnWorld thread.

And for what it is worth, the board comes with a built-in RSS feed I believe, but I think Pundit turned it off.  He left it on for his blog though.

Bah, if you want to run a broadly popular sci fi rpg your choices come down to Star Wars and Warhammer 40k and they're both still mind share losers in a niche hobby. This is just sad. When are we going to get a sci fi revival?

When it becomes fun again, so pretty much moving away from the Traveller headbangers. I dunno, I've a sci-fi game in the works, I don't think it will lead to a revival but it's two fistfuls of fun as far as I'm concerned.
