We raised 150lbs of food and $860 for the Second Harvest Food Bank. We had fifty people attend including guys from about 70 miles away having a convention in their own city. Gypsy Knight Games donated $50 by proxy for the event. All in all, a damn good turn out for a charity and a good time had by all.
For myself, I ran a B/X open table dungeon crawl where you could just jump in whenever you wanted with a PC and pop into the party and start playing. In the time I was there, we had three TPKs of 1st-levels and cleared out most of the first level.
Dude, that's awesome. Good job!
I played in a couple of D&D Next games that were part of some adventure that is still in playtesting. We also got a free set of the gencon dice courtesy of Rodney Thompson. I had a great time.
Good job - your efforts will help a lot of people and you should be proud.
Congrats! Is this going to be an annual event?

We don't know right now. It all came together with only 3 week's notice and we came in contact with another gaming charity group called Extra Life that raises money for the local Children's Hospital. So we are talking now about making this a quarterly event to raise money for different charities.
We're probably going to target Second Harvest Food Bank, Young-Williams Animal Center, East Tennessee Children's Hospital, and one other.
Really well done!
