Anyone have this?

"The Sandbox Generator is a simple but powerful tool for DMs. It allows you to easily create a world from scratch when you prepare your next campaign. It will provide you with all the necessary information about your world: from the biomes map, to a lord's coat of arms and the menu of the local tavern! It is also convenient for solo players and DMs who want to generate their world during the game session."

I don't, but I recently used the AD&D 1e Dungeon Master Guide to roll up a random hex crawl and it worked out pretty well. It's a bit time consuming, and you gotta use some logic when you're mapping, but it's a solid tool. Looks like this one by Atelier is more comprehensive though.

I found their "City Pointcrawl Generator" so disappointing I'd have to read multiple strong reviews of anything else they produce to consider buying it, despite the low price point.

Admittedly this "Sandbox" is 10x the size of the "City", but I'd look other places first (Sine Nomine or Third Kingdom Games?)

Creating a world from scratch using random tables?

LOL... well that's one way of doing it I guess.

I can almost guarantee you can find enough random table generators, or make your own up, to do whatever is going to be offered here to achieve similar results. None of which I would consider "good".

Creating a *good* sandbox requires more consideration to your needs as a GM. Of course populating that sandbox with stuff could easily use random generated stuff but again, you as a GM are probably going to know better than a random table.

Otherwise you're likely just going to end up with what you're asking for: random shit.

Good points.

I passed it, because I forgot I own World Without Number. Should work even better for my needs.

This kind of procedure sounds interesting but nowadays you can do that with a click in multiple sites.

If you want to roll yourself, my advice would be rolling 7 hexes at once instead of each single hex, to speed things up and end up with a bigger map (well, I guess it depends on the size of the hex; I use 6 miles).

I use this for my maps:
