Anyone familiar with this product and world? I ran across it on Grognardia, and was very impressed with the world map:

I have not. But that setting looks to be right up my alley.
I'm lucky enough to have played in several of Jimm's Eris games at Nortex, and purchased copies of the setting and map there.
It's a great setting. Probably one of the best sword and sorcery settings out there that really captures the vibe. It does a great job of delivering what people like about famous S&S settings in books without feeling like one of those with the serial numbers filed off.
The adventures are all crazy fun, whether written by jimm or Lawson (I think that's his buddy's name). He's right up there with Melan in delivering the goods. Crazy value for the price.

Agreed on all fronts. Have gamed with austinjimm at NTRPG Con since 2010. He's the real deal. Authentic hobbyist with high-quality products.

You're a year off, there, I think. Both you and Jimm were players in my Cromlech Tor game at NTRPG Con in 2009 (he was the PC that had his arm turned into a scaly, lizard-man kinda arm while the party investigated the idol in the serpent-man temple). :)
In any case, I agree, Jimm's both a great DM and a top notch designer of both settings and adventures. I've played several of them (run by Jimm) at our various Texas-based gaming meet-ups in Hearne. And he produces really, really, cool physical product. Highly recommended.
For what it's worth, I believe I've found some more info regarding the rules system the designer uses. If you follow the Jim Johnson link on grognardias page, it takes you to http://cubeofquazar.blogspot.com/, where there's the 'Controllers House rules' link to a 50+ page PDF.
Looks pretty good, and ten bucks printed is very reasonable.
Heist music
You son of a bitch...I'm in.

Damn. I remember that game well, but thought it was 2010 for some reason. Must be getting old, PJ! :)
Way ahead of you. ;)

I think Chainsaw is right. Philotomy's Cromlech Tor game was in 2010, my first year in attendance at NTRPG Con. (At least that's how I have it down.) Not that it matters. That game was one of my primary inspirations for my OD&D setting & rules (Planet Eris).
