While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). This post and thread will just be ME  putting up the ranking charts from past issues of Comics & Games Retailer magazine.  These are just from the ones I found around my house, NOT all the issue for the past year or two ...but my current manager is a much better and nicer guy than the previous ones were. He lets me take home issues and we even got double copies for awhile.

From the May 2006 issue, #170:
FEBRUARY 2006
...according to the magazine's editor.....We have averaged their reported figures across all stores in the sample for each individual product area to show the raw average number of copies sold of each product reported by each store. Major changes are marked by arrows. To arrive at our final weighted unit salesfigures for role-playing and trading-card games, sales on products that did not make individual retailers' top-seller lists but did make enough other retailers' lists are extrapolated and are integrated into the non-sellers' charts at sales levels below their last-place titles. The turnout figure for each product tells what percentage of retailers who sell products in a specific category said that a specific product was a "top seller" for them.

All units are measured in PIECES sold; each boxed set, adventure, and sourcebook counts as one.

Chart Chat > * Sales were up pretty much across the board in December, with role-playing games having their strongest show since March 2005. Part of this was the general recovery role-playing games are experiencing, but unfortunately the bulk of it seems to be due to the holidays. Dungeons & Dragons got a nice bump from the very-well received Fiendish Codex II.

Great! Thanks a bunch, Koltar, I'll get on incorporating this data into the charts and I'll put up the first chart in the stickied thread.
I am no longer posting here or reading this forum because Pundit has regularly claimed credit for keeping this community active. I am sick of his bullshit for reasons I explain here and I don\'t want to contribute to anything he considers to be a personal success on his part.

I recommend The RPG Pub as a friendly place where RPGs can be discussed and where the guiding principles of moderation are "be kind to each other" and "no politics". It\'s pretty chill so far.

While cleaning up and tidying up at work - I found 6 or 7 more back issues of C&GR.
Should I start a new thread or add those charts to this one ?

I am fairly sure the new info would alter those charts a bit.
