Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

New WotC Poll: What reprint do you want to see next?

Reckall

Beside the RC I would reprint a series of Gazs "Collected Atlases", three for book, harbound. Dawn of Emperors was cool too, and maybe deserving his own volume.
For every idiot who denounces Ayn Rand as "intellectualism" there is an excellent DM who creates a "Bioshock" adventure.

I would buy the shit out of the Gazetteers.

I'm still missing a few...
Quote from: ExploderwizardStarting out as fully formed awesome and riding the awesome train across a flat plane to awesome town just doesn\'t feel like D&D. :)

Quote from: ExploderwizardThe interwebs are like Tahiti - its a magical place.

The Butcher

Quote from: Drohem;619543Ok, out of the limited choices I voted for RC too.  Also, I voted that dwelfs are dumber than a CG half-orc paladin.

Quote from: Viktyr Gehrig;619758The other poll on the page makes me want to self-defense an orphanage in the face.

I was mystified too, and not in a good way.

If I was the boss of the guy who came up with that poll I'd be calling him into my office for a stern talk. I mean, is that a relevant question that comes up on people's games? Even that thread about dwarf women having beards was more relevant than that (albeit marginally). I think if you treat customers like idiots, all you'll get is idiots for customers.

Which incidentally may be a goal over at Wizbros. Hmmm...

Weru

Quote from: flyerfan1991;619175I'd personally prefer Moldvay B/E, with B2 and X1 thrown in.

Same here.

RPGPundit

Quote from: One Horse Town;619280Yeah, i just noticed.

Maybe Pundit will get the bat-call next and we'll have to vanish this one!

Do you really think that was because of WoTC? Do you honestly think WoTC still pays any attention whatsoever to tangency.net?

Did not see that one coming 0_o

Really?
What part of that would be a surprise to you? That gamers fucking love the Rules Cyclopedia, which gets constantly held up as the best single-book D&D compilation ever? Or that they also love the Temple of Elemental Evil, one of the most classic adventures of all time?

Hoody-Hoo, as they say.  I hope this means we get a Rules Cyclopedia reprint.  I'd love to get some new gamers into RC Dungeons and Dragons.

It probably is not an accident that the Temple of Elemental Evil was in the initial wave of PDF offerings.

The Butcher

Excellent news. Looking forward to the reprint, God knows I could use a new copy.

I would, if anything, take that as evidence that they'll be doing RC first.  Note that I do not have any "insider information" about this however, its only speculation, albeit perhaps just slightly better informed guessing than the average poster's.

You may well be correct.  :-)

I hope they will include the errata. They are copious, IIRC.
