This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The downloads are in the thousands, and so are the donations for the people that want to say thank you for the book. I was hesitant at first but I can honestly say I have not lost money on this project. I do have to fix parts of the book one page for whatever reason had some weird problems with things being duplicated, and one of the Immortals was accidentally deleted.

Now I have to get people to give me feedback I can use and then talk about it publicly. The more the people talk about it more attention the setting gets.  A major problem I have with feedback is either is complementary without detail or just complaints about the book again without details.  If there's a typo I wanted remove if there's a rule problem I want to fix it. I actually appreciate people correcting me on this. I'm a stickler for Perfection my pride overrules my sloth.

I'm gonna try to do my review writeup this weekend, sir. My gaming group's not meeting, so I'll have some time on my hands to burn.

If nothing else, I owe it to you for the Street Fighter RPG review. :D

Side thought: suggest to Capcom that they add 'Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade' and 'Presidential Inauguration' fight stages for SFV...

I wouldn't say it was a failure, it's been downloaded thousands of times and people have been thankful in the form of donations so much that I've more than made the money back. So a few people have tried to declare it piracy despite be breaking down how it will pays the fan work policy to the letter. But haters gonna hate.

People remember quality in the end. They forget everything else

My only complaint is that you need to compress the pdf, but it looks good.

TheGlen

I can do that with a button click. I do have to make some minor changes and include a legal document to keep people happy. Version 114 should be up very soon with the changes

TheGlen

Updated the Mystara Guide to fix rules problems and typos.  Also included legal wording to bring the book fully in line with the Wizard's Fan Created works.  So it's as official as it's going to get.  Enjoy!

Over 400mb for the none pg 13 book.  Countries and regions with horrible internet speeds will not be happy.

What the fuck.  :o

Seriously, at that point you might as well be on AOL dialup.

The wonders of public utility monopolies.  At this point I'd take Comcast, because it takes me 3 hours to upload the book.  But cost of living in the boonies.

I'll check out this beast when I get home, my mobile connection is pretty crap so can't download it yet. I'm trying to sell myself on Mystara over other settings like Greyhawk and all the similarly inspired ones. One of my biggest hang ups are the immortals and some of the crazier things from what i've heard from your youtube videos. My issue with alot of game worlds is having the world function consistently under it's own internal logic. Forgotten realms and Eberron both sort of fail at this that when you think about the various nations, tech and gods the whole thing just sort of falls apart. Or like Golarion where you have things like a thousand year french revolution, ancient egypt or a city where assassinating the king is a daily occurrence.

Mystara is mostly from what I hear, the immortals i have trouble wrapping my brain around. Also the whole hollow world thing or magic being powered by a giant nuclear reactor or something.

Random question, I was reading the Mystara guide and it's fantastic! I noticed you had both a pg13 version and a regular version and the only difference I could see between them was one piece of art for the Makai warrior, is that the only difference?

More nipples and blood.  That's the only difference.  Couldn't put the nipples on the guild, but since they aren't a problem anymore, then time for some Boris and Frank levels of art.

Skimmed a few pages, noticed a couple cosmetic things.

p. 75-77 the first letter of a few holidays aren't in bold:
Arcanium
Day of Naming and Welcoming
Feria de Toros
Ice Games

p.78 missing thousand breaks (i.e. 5000 gp not 5,000 gp)
Nosmo Beldan
Candella
Duchess

p. 84, bullets at the bottom of Pragmati and Siswa columns use different spacing
