Does anyone know if anyone has made a superhero version of Mini Six?

I'm working on a fantasy version, but I'd love to see a supers version already completed.

I've not seen any superhero material put out for Mini Six.  If there is anything, it's difficult to find online and not linked on their website.

When you get your fantasy stuff for Mini Six done, make sure you post here so we can take a look.  :)

I never heard of this before. I thought that the D6 system was already fairly simple?

When you start getting into 8d+ pools, the integer math can get onerous for some people.  I ran D6Legend Star Wars for some friends once as an experiment and it was amazing how fast resolving actions went with that mechanic.
D&D is becoming Self-Referential.  It is no longer Setting Referential, where it takes references outside of itself. It is becoming like Ouroboros in its self-gleaning for tropes, no longer attached, let alone needing outside context.

It's very well done. Also, the pdf is free, so I recommend checking it out.

I second that recommendation!

It's a shame that there's still a lot of people out there that don't know about Mini Six or other products from OpenD6.  Still, if people will look it over, they may find they like what they see.  :)

Mini Six is very impressive. Probably one of the best free set of rules I never got round to play.
New! Cyberblues City - like cyberpunk, only more mellow. Free, fully illustrated roleplaying game based on the Fudge system
Bounty Hunters of the Atomic Wastelands, a post-apocalyptic western game based on Fate. It\'s simple, it\'s free and it\'s in colour!

Add my name to the list of those impressed by Mini Six. It is elegant.
"Meh."

Wow. That does look awesome.

Given that I never actually liked the D6 system, I doubt I'd like this one. Or is there a reason why I would?

RPGPundit

No, it's the D6 system but for tards.

Ok, I'm kidding...kind of.  It's a simplified version of an already simple system - I guess it's aimed at people who want to get a game of D6 up and running in a matter of a 3 minutes (as opposed to 10 minutes for regular D6).  Below this in complexity would be Risus and then rules-free free form.
My rules and comments about good GMing:
  • Improvise as much as you can
  • A character sheet is a list of items that tell you what the story should be about
  • As a GM, say "maybe" and ask your players to justify a "yes"
  • Immersion isn\'t a dirty word.
  • Collectively, players are smarter than you and will think of things you never considered.

I have neuropathy in my hands so my typing can get frustratingly sloppy. Bear with me.

Yeah, I guess it really depends on what you didn't like about D6.  If you didn't like a certain aspect of it, I'd need to know that aspect to know if it's at all different.

Mini Six is boiled down simplicity.  It offers a very quick, easy to use system, as well as several ideas of settings to game in.  It's more "light" than what you've seen in either the D6 Fantasy, D6 Space or D6 Adventure, or even Star Wars by West End Games.  Same base mechanic, but more elegant in its simplicity.

If that's what you disliked about D6, though, obviously that wouldn't be a draw for you to try it.  If your problem with the system was something else, then perhaps Mini Six would be better because it's simpler than any of the predecessors.

Basically, it just never appealed to me. I just find it mediocre.

Hmmm...hard to say what would change your mind then.  Mediocre is just....plain.  If the plainness was due to lack of setting, then Mini Six is better.  If plainness was due to the way the system worked, well... guess it's just not for you then.

Still, I'd suggest other people look into it!
